Sb-random. I think you are the lucky one.  As I said earlier. Mine ordered on 19th jan. yours in mid March. But at this rate. You’ll get yours well before I get mine. If that ever occurs!!!!!

Hi Rich, we've not had a confirmed BW either.

 

It's been less than 2 weeks for us ordering, so we're going to feign ignorance for a while.  So far the dealer has been in contact, so I've reason to chase them yet.

Well my build week is meant to be this week and the salesman tells me it is STILL unconfirmed.  Everything seems so uncertain with Skoda, leading to customer nervousness. I'm already speaking to brokers about alternatives if it all goes south. 

Still no news for ours either.  First experience with Skoda - not going too well!

 

Patience or cut and run (Does seem a bit toys, throwing and prams still!).  That happy January 13th is a long gone memory now.

Just spoke to my dealer and out of the 5 cars he has caught up in "seat gate", 3 have now left the factory.

Not mine though and those 3 were ordered after mine!

I'll be asking some questions to Skoda tomorrow.

Tell me about it, I wonder when the drive the cars off the line into the compound they put them anywhere and not in any order of time or week build? 

Sounds like they put them into the compound the early ones first then added the later ones after that. So last in first out?

I got an email from carwow on increase in  first year of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) from1st April!! Are we Build week 8/9 going to be affected by this due to Skoda delay?

Had email today from dealer saying our eta on car has Been brought forward by two weeks now expected mid may , I was happy with June date but I guess it's going in the right direction .

Only if you’ve ordered a diesel. Petrol VED isnt going up

Well I spoke to DMKEITHS this morning.  My car Has arrived in the uk.  So just need to get it to wakefield and then on to me!  Ordered it 17th January

When did you order? 

 

I ordered 17th march but no build week yet. Spoke to skoda uk live chat and was told to check next week. 

Just had a call from the dealer. car should be with them today and i can collect on Saturday. this is 20 days earlier than originally quoted. it spend 20 days in Emden and only left Germany on Monday this week so in theory it is 6 days from Germany to having the keys in my hands.

Same here. Dealer just rang, and the handover is tomorrow.

 

Funny it docked UK side 16/03, the VIN shows a delivery inspection on 21/03, the reg no was quoted by VWFS last week, but it's only just arrived today at the dealers?

 

I think there's been some smoothing out of 18 plate handovers going on.

Just had a call to say some seats have been located and the car is built and (supposedly) now on priority to get it over here and so it should be on it's way to the docks. 

 

I am very pleased.  Not got a delivery date specifically yet, but I would anticipate surely within the next couple of weeks, maybe three with the bank holiday in the way.

Thanks!  Very pleased indeed and more so my young lady - mainly because I think she was dreading the prospect of having to visit more dealers if we cancelled...!  Really is quite a relief and a good start to the Easter weekend (especially after our holiday got cancelled yesterday due to the campsite being waterlogged!!)

I am pleased for you, I am still waiting for my seats to finish build, can you remind me what build week was you?

I’m sure yours will be soon with ours. We ordered about the same time so theoretically at least.

Yesssssssss, I have just contacted the dealer, after trying to get info from Skoda UK who refused to tell me because my complaints manager is on holiday and told me I would have to wait till Tuesday when she’s back to work. Anyway it is now showing it was built yesterday and is now on the train to Germany.

I spoke to Skoda this afternoon and its STILL waiting for seats 5 weeks later.

Ordered on 12th Jan with BW8.

Very tempted to write a snotty email to them.

I ordered mine 19/01, BW13 (this week). No real pattern/relationship to order date/build week that I can see. As has been mentioned, different dealers get different build weeks, don't understand this bit!
