Just noticed you use Tesco Momentum after looking into your mapping.:o

Mostly Tesco Momentum 99 but V-Power if I’m not close to a Tesco.       I did ad a little NF octane booster for the Dyno, for det protection more than anything else as the Dyno cell was red hot due to the number of cars running that day.   I do the same on track days.   So that probably adds an octane number or two.

I was seeing IAT’s of 115f during the final pull, so got this bad boy to fit next week :)

Looks nice intercooler definately required beyond stage 1 saw my oil temps at 103/104 degrees C in the hot weather this summer and would go even higher on a track day. With the mods you have done so far I would describe your car at stage1.5,

and that bad boy could give as much as 40bhp if you believe the manufacturers compared to factory stuff. What sort of fuel economy do you get? My last tank which lasted 24 days due to being on holiday was 406 miles (indicated 70 miles left), put 43.63 litres of Shell V-Power (9.60 gallons) @42.29MPG which is just below my long term average over the last 2,000 miles of 42.45MPG (brim to brim). Your addiction is as bad as mine. Just ordered some rear door sill covers (VRS logo of course).:notme:

I can get over 40 on a run with relative ease but in all honesty I dont really pay too much attention to MPG.    Compared to some of the car's I've had in the past it's extremely economical if I require it to be! :D

The good thing about the JB4 is you can move the power band around somewhat to suit your driving style, as a personal preference I've gone for a pretty linear torque curve which makes for a better driving car on the road (in my opinion), not much point having peak torque where, when you're really pressing on, shifting up a gear dumps you back to 4kish and you've got a peak torque in the 2k's.    Revo and APR (I've had both on previous cars) do tend to map aggressively like this though as it gives a bigger the shove back in the seat (and often wheelspin in 1st/3nd or even 3rd on a FWD), great on an AWD, not so sure on a FWD.

The EA888-3 does run quite hot, the thin factory spec oil doesn't help much, I now run Millers Nanodrive CFS 5w40 NT+ and am seeing about 5 degrees lower average oil temps, that said, if I do end up going IS38 I'll probably look into an auxillary oil cooler kit.

I'm impressed It's making what Revo call Stage 2 power and Revo themselves only list a downpipe and intake as required hardware for their own stage 2 calibration, intercooler is on there as recommended, so not sure I'd agree on stage 1.5 (whatever that is), but it's quick, I'll say that much.   Regards the intercooler, I dont expect to gain much as it currently stands from the intercooler, the car was only really seeing high IAT's in the dyno cell due to being at the back away from the fans and being hot in there from car's that were in there immediately before me, even then there was no timing correction due to exessive IAT's but it's borderline at 115 so on a hot day at the track or a sustained high speed run I've no headroom, the intercooler is more belt and braces for the future, especially as I say, if I do go IS38.

Yeah it's an addiction alright haha!       Rear matching sill covers sound good!   Got a link?  ;)

They are genuine Skoda but not got the red/green like Superskoda Challenge pack ones (39.99Euro part no.5E0071303DCHAL). Mine will just be etched VRS from local Skoda dealer (£25 the pair) part no.5E0071303D.

Knew someone will fit the IS38 turbo sooner or later but not trying for 400bhp still needs to be very drivable and my car is used daily on 52 mile commute so economy also important.

Thanks for that!      I like the cheaper ones better too, match the front!  Cheers!

Re: IS38...    that might never materialise, I think I might have found the sweet spot for this car right where it is to be honest, much more might overwhelm the chassis/VAQ.

We'll see haha ;)

Just demonstrates what potential the EA888 engine has held back by restrictive factory parts when £5,000 spent on well chosen mods can turn it into an epic sleeper even with standard clutch and suspension because I have no plans to lower mine as to many speed humps where I live.

So you may know the 19" Gloss Black Extremes are off to their new owner soon so my winter wheels have been on the car for just 11 days and less than 100 miles (been on holiday). 3 days earlier than planned ( I have no patience) just got the new RS6 replica wheels with Michelin PS4 S tyres (235/35R19) fitted and OMG I'm in love. This is pure WHEEL PORN!

Finally you've joined the PS4S club

Kinda like the new wheels but, they do look like kerb-finders to me, might just be me though

Well Tony first I had to find a good home for the Extremes which was easy didn't even have to advertise them. Second you guys had been going on and on and on about how good the PS4's were and they are. Gave it the full beans to show a BMW320D today what a slow car he drives and traction was excellent and the extra 1" width of the new wheels helps to. They probably are kerb magnets because like the Extremes they are Diamond Cut on the twin spokes and the outer edge so trying to keep SWMBO in her Karoq as much as possible to reduce the chances on that score!

Hi, new to the forum and new to Mk3 ownership! Having been a thoroughly satisfied owner of a MK2 vRS TFSI for a little over a year, it had firmly set the Octavia vRS in my mind as one of the best options around for a 'does it all' car - hugely practical, solid, comfortable and with enough get up and go to make great progress when you want it. Naturally then, when looking around for upgrade options the 245 caught my attention and held it - everything i wanted in a car for fantastic value. So I am now the proud owner of a Moon White Metallic, vRS245 DSG Estate! A week into ownership and I couldn't be happier with it! It felt like now was the right time to finally sign up to the forum...

Every six months I change the ambient lighting on the doors and dash. Started with red to match the seats, then tried green because it's in the interior and on the badges. Now gone a bit leftfield with purple and it's quite soothing.:mmm:Economy has settled down with the new wheels/tyres and after 142 miles on the current tank got 345 miles left (total 487 miles). Got to be happy with that considering the power on tap. 32 to 104 mph on the video above in 11 seconds shows the linear power delivery of the AmD mapping.

It was better than your first lap but I am way too competitive to drive that slowly on a race track, sorry but you spent too much time lifting or braking.:notme:

everytime better and better... :D

When you have all that done would be interested in the results if you access to a rolling road because mine gets stage 2 mods soon as well.:notme:
