So I’ve managed to find estate led boot lights for half the price of superskoda that don’t throw up errors.

After trying 6 sets of them I’ve found a quality set that don’t cause the boot to throw a tantrum.

Would any of you be interested in them? Could buy a bulk load and send them out in the U.K. for £20 posted and packed.

The superskoda ones are said to be error free. Ive not tried them.

The 6 different sets vary from ebay to aliexpress, and the ones i fitted that were good in my quoted post, have now failed also!!!

Surely buying six sets is more expensive than what you would've paid for the Kopacek/Superskoda ones...

Not fit for purpose so got a refund on them

Holy crap those are insane figures. What’s your 0-100km/hr times?

who’d ya go Stage 3 with?

I've no idea what the timings are, sorry, but it is a bit fast. Modified by Ares tuning in Chester, and mapped by Unicorn in Stockport

Awesome! I really like the power curve, that the peak power is at the rev limiter!

Can you explain your setup? Which aftermarket parts did you installed?

MTC Intercooler, AEM watermeth v3 kit (80/20 mix), NGK Race Plug R7438-8, Airtec big boost pipe kit,  apr boost tap,  Trackslag downpipe, new fuel injectors 0 261 500 01H, ttv4 turbo, ramair jetstream intake kit, vis hpfp, ( lpfp bought but not required for the superb), millers 5/40 oil and coolant, then mapping.

Finally Google decided that today was the day for my Pixel 5 and my MIB2 (Superb MY17) to get the Coolwalk update!!

Initial experience is positive.

Mine is running through AAWireless and I can change the DPI setting which influences the layout.

Mine is currently set to 128 DPI.

+1 for Rieger

Sorry to bother you again. Can you share more pics of Rieger side skirts? How do they go into the front and rear wheel arch, maybe you have more close shots while fitting them, i.e. with doors opened, to see how it goes into the sill. Also, can you tell how they are attached? Double sided tape or something more sophisticated? And what about front mudflaps? Any pics how you modified them?

No bother - always glad to help.

With the front, it uses/shares the same hole as that is used to hold the wheel arch liner and/or front mudflap.

With the rear, u need to drill a hole into the wind deflector trim Infront of the rear wheel.

Then fix using rivet or nut & bolt.

Front & rear easy to do.

With the middle, u need to use the supplied kit.  It contains black automotive sikaflex bond/glue.

It comes with all the instructions - u just need to prep and follow it step by step.

I did mine at home.

The mudflaps were a pain to do - took ages, and I had to trial fit, then shave off a bit more that trial fit again until I got it right.

My new stoppers have arrived.

For fun, I decided to see if I can do a 550mile (total) trip on a single tank of petrol in my 280. So far, seems to be on target.

IMG_20230217_123752_(400_x_300_pixel).jpg

Fitted a Vibe 65.4 plug and play amp to my SE Business, as well as an inPhase USW300 underseat sub.

No photos of the sub, will decide whether or not to keep it under the seat, or maybe move it to the boot.

The amp was actually dead easy to fit, once I had the correct T-harness and on its own did improve the sound of the stereo. All fitted discretely, and hopefully without creating any new buzzes / rattles in use.

Best I've ever managed is 36mpg.

Managed to finally get some canton grills - shame they are the wrong colour.

a bit of gentle spray painting to get them to the black plastic look.

why you may ask? I’m not paying £1000 for 2 front sportline door cards with canton grills!

Back on the subject of the damned LED fault with the boot lights.

Has anyone got a superskoda one that they are willing to take the back off and take some detailed photos for me so i can look at reverse engineering them at a cheaper price for everyone?

Me too, so 40+ is amazing.

Cleaned the car today; bloody filthy. What I need is a whole weekend to get the wheels off, clean the chassis and running gear and detail it all again.

This is the final figure. I mostly travelled at 60mph (speedo) on the motorway, eco mode, no ACC this time but normally at a good safe distance behind a HGV.

On the M1, there were quite a few sections where 50mph is the average speed or slow moving.

Could have been better if I only driven all motorway (went into Nottingham, Leeds, York) and there wasn't a few standstill jams but overall pleased that my mission was accomplished.

Which petrol?  95 or higher?

I am trying 98 and 99 and am getting 2 mpg better so far than when on 95 RON, and the engine feels smoother.

(272 L&H hatch)

Filled up with 46litres of Esso 99 in London (they say it's 0% ethanol) and the rest is tesco 99.

E5 should get better mileage than E10 anyway.

I would just use tesco 99 if possible. Occasionally I put in Esso just for fun and for the 'detergents' lol
