What have you done to your Superb III today?

Featured Replies

Well I’ve done sod all to the car for a month. I hate it being dirty but with the wet weather followed by our builder occupying the garden for three weeks means it hasn’t been cleaned for five weeks. 🤮 I’ll shut up moaning now… The only good thing is that the TW Graphene Wax makes washing it a pleasure. It’s amazing stuff.

I haven't washed Gandalf in over 2 months so far, and it's filthy - yet Gandalf still looks acceptable in this pic, which I took last weekend!!

Silver is one of the best colours for hiding dirt. I had a silver Audi A6 Avant a few years ago & could leave it for months on end before it visibly needed a clean. Now I have a met Black Superb & my wife has a white Karoq. Two of the worst colours for showing dirt. Thinking about adding some paint protection when it gets warmer to make the cleaning process easier.

So after a year long court fight over a windscreen company replacing my windscreen and causing thousands of pounds in damage and they finally settled last week and it’s all resolved.

anddddd yesterday the windscreen gets hit by a stone and cracks again!!!!

here we go again

I agree - Silver is the best to hide dirt.

Mine is Business Grey.

I had the option to buy Silver but declined it.

I wanted Quartz Grey originally, but it would've been an a 6 month wait, from factory.

So Business Grey it was.....and I love it.

Not only does it hide the dirt....from far, it has so much depth and many shades, across the panels.

Bit better than it was a couple of days ago….F338818E-F4BA-41D0-A294-8BF2AECDA43A.thumb.jpeg.2de033ebd0573ad5fee30e5e6130c8ed.jpeg

Phwoahhhh.....I had to put my sunnies on to c that!! 😎

Wat colour is that?

I've changed my haldex oil myself and cleaned the pump strainer.

Though I had done it already once, it took me a long time, since I didn't much space left under the car.

Fortunately, I could refer to my own "how to guide" to avoid looking for all tips and tightening torque values:

90700km  and 63 months on the clock. It's the second time I do it. It was the right time to do it. Still the same ugly mayonnaise on the strainer...

Magnetic Brown. The Turtle Wax Hybrid Wax with Graphene is amazing.

Bought some new wheels and tyres. Such a good difference to the ride with these Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6's. Went for 245/40/19 instead of 235/40/19 and you can feel it 👍

Nice move.

It's makes a great difference by increasing the profile size.

Plenty of us here in Oz have made that switch.

Today, I modified the VCDS settings to have Ambient light depending on DCC mode.

I've set it as follows:

Eco is green / Confort is light blue / Normal is white / Sport is red / Individual is dark blue. (Yes, I know, not very original colors for Eco and Sport modes 😁)

Great!

All explained in the VCDS thread! Many thanks to @langers2k and to @igrozan!

depending on DCC mode, or Driving Profile mode?

i would've thought the later, as that's the normal behaviour on MY18 onwards.

Those r ur Driving Profiles, not DCC modes.

DCC only has Comfort / Normal / Sport modes.
