Summer wheels back on my Mk3 again.

Brake discs and pads thickness checked. All good for front and rear axles. 🙂

Now just a deep clean of outside and inside before selling it.

A MY2022 Kodiaq TDI200 4x4 L&K has arrived few days ago to replace my "old good" Mk3 Estate.

Will be a shame for the Superb forum to see you move to another model. Good to be staying in the fold though 👍

@leolito & @travs Thanks for your feedbacks. Don’t worry, I will still be lurking here. The Kodiaq Mk1 forum ´next door’ looks very calm compared to this one… 😁

he'll be back ... I enrolled on an online course for shamanic remote capabilities and vodoo mongering, the focus on "online" is on developing skills to disrupt and prevent correct functioning of not approved models, including behavior such as the traitorous escape towards another area of briskoda.

First lesson: alter coded signal to disable access to the vehicle. Bap beware!

Let's hope you get a good price for your Superb. If it was in the UK and the steering wheel was on the internationally recognised correct side of the car🤭, I'd definitely be interested.

@leolito How long have you been forgetting to take your pills? 🤣

@Gammyleg The steering wheel IS on the 'right' side. Just cross the Channel! 😉🤭 Thanks for this feedback.

When you turn half of a century some stuff starts to look fuzzy ... promise no more OT 😁

Bear in mind mine is less than a year old and has only done 5000 miles.

Not long, about 25 minutes, it wasn't that bad to be fair for 5k miles.

Oil change today, nothing special to report but the front active shocks are slightly misting. That'll be £600 + fitting before next mot for bilstein b6 damptronics as mot history says this is the second pair leaking already.

At the back, i also changed the haldex fluid, checked the filter and replaced seals. Happy to report that was unnecessary as there was nothing on the filter and barely a few bits in the housing

Quite confident now that the recommended interval of 30.000 miles WITH filter cleaning is correct for haldex 5. Main dealer does not clean this which led to a burnt out pump for me only 7000 miles after i paid through the ass for them to service the car

I do mine every 18 months regardless of mileage due to where i live ( channel Islands) i only take the car away once maybe twice a year and driving on an island is pretty much like city driving it's through the gears all the time. This is how the haldex filter looked on last change approx 7000 miles away

A real stunner.

Any way to fix the AC PROFILE settings lost after MIB 2.5 upgrade with 9.2 screen and VC.

AC PROFILE MENU under climate control menu had 3 settings low medium high. This option is gone after this retrofit.

Mine still has those options after doing the MIB2.5 upgrade.

I used the AIO G11 to G13 firmware.

And 3! 3rd consecutive clean MOT. So happy! Now, I can write the ad to sell my Mk3. 😃
By the way, the inspector praised its condition. It started with a "Uh... You do get it dirty from time to time, do you 😯?!" I then explained that it had just been deeply cleaned to sell it sale. He replied with a "It's really spotless," accompanied by a respectful approving pout. He continued with "One can see that it's very well maintained because seeing the inside of the rims are in such condition, it's rare 😦..." I admitted to him that I have a set of summer and winter wheels and that every time I swap them, I thoroughly clean the ones I take off before storing them. I've driven less than 50 km since I put the summer wheels back on. He concluded with, "If I could do cars in this condition more often, I'd be happy 🙂. I even hesitated to use the windshield washer, it hurt my heart to get it dirty..." 🤣
Even myself, when I saw the windshield washer, I was... 🫣
😂
Well, not a big deal in the end, because I drove home under a light rain and I expect, I have to give it a quick wash when a buyer wants to see it anyway.

Of course, I wasn't unhappy that my efforts were recognized. 😎.

Small downside: I've had a random message on the maneuver brake system for a few weeks. It only appears on cold starts. I'm gonna make a VCDS scan to see what it is, but I've already booked an appointment by my local dealer to get this sorted for sale.

Took my Superb into Skoda today for its 5th variable (longlife) service. I had it from new, its now a little over 2 1/2 years old and just reached 90k miles, front brakes still fine but the rears were 90% worn so new discs and pads fitted. It came with continental tyres when new, these were replaced at 35k (at one year old) with Pirelli P7 which are still on and have proven to be extremely good from a wear point of view (I can't fault them in any way for my usage - mainly motorway), the fronts are still on 3.5mm the rears 6mm.

Just had a new set of boots all round on my 2016 280 at 62k miles. Nothing much wrong tread wise with the old Nexen tyres (plenty of tread) except for loads of cracks due to age (6 year old tyres). Played it safe with a new set of Falken's all round prior to a trip away. Should easily last another 6 years based on my low annual mileage.
