No the point is that the cameras are not even noticed in your top pocket, or on a backpack strap.

They are recording sound and vision.

As to mounts in cars. I have used various.

The dash and windscreen was filmed by the mount and camera i used that for the time the photos with the police car in it were taken and you flipped it up or down as you wanted, dash or outside with the same camera.

it was no different from changing gear, using the indicator stalk or washer or dipped / full beam.

<scottish accent>  Ok, ok, sir,I hear what you're saying.....now please blow into this while we check you on the computer.....deep breath....

:giggle:

Or, as you pick your self off the road or are waiting for the ambulance.  the camera has the pictures and is recording what is being said,

eg  'Sorry is not going to fix my leg or my bike'.

You look like a terminator with artificial limbs.

Or the classic "he came out of nowhere" or the oft heard, "Look what you've done to my car you f*****!"

95% of all of those cars are tiny toy cars I would not be seen dead in (my sister was killed in the back of an Aygo along with 2 others when hit by a speeding Focus so tinpot tiny cars are out)

Lupo? Starlet? Ax? Saxo?? Was this list compiled in 1991? I'd be surprised if many of those cars that made up that list ever went above 50mph, those that aren't sitting in the scrap yard.

Current data straight off the spritmonitor site 5 mins before I posted.

Edit: Just found this, averaging across the whole Spritmonitor data; diesel 19% better than petrol for mpg, over the last year. Sounds about right considering the chemical and thermodynamic advantages of diesel.

Always remember if filming / recording and posting online that it can be there for ever and your Insurance might use it for you or against you.

Or a court!

Not me driving.    Sh!t happens with loose stones.

You can do both.  Police driver training teaches greater anticipation, as does experience if one is able to learn such techniques,  and one can crack and on and get great mpg.

You miss my point. Using the same person in the two cars and with their inherent skills, will determine if that individual is more economical In a diesel or a petrol.

As I said, in like for like cars, I always get better mileage in a diesel, whether in town, spirited driving or motorway slog. Only during the warm up phase do I see the diesel drop towards the petrol for mpg (not helped my the more efficient diesel engine taking longer to warm up)

Well, I've had a Saxo try and follow me through a series of bends at 60mph (indicated). The lady owner had taken exception to my overtaking her just before said bends and decided to try and chase me. When she came out her eyes were on stalks and she hastily abandoned her efforts!

They tend to do things a bit different up in Norn Iren...

Like the wood pellet heating grant scandal a couple of yrs ago...

as if anyone in Norn Iron would exploit a badly worded scheme to rip off the taxpayer, I mean who could possibly have signed off on such an arrangement?  ;-)

Yes, the stone near the end of the clip.

Need to go to specsavers or perhaps you fell asleep, like me....

Stever750,

Just the last bit with the stone hitting the screen.

The engine sounds good at under the 60 mph NSL doesnt it.  Shows that you do not need to be going fast to enjoy great driving roads.

You mean that little grain of sand at the end lol. I was expecting a smashed windscreen as the minimum, perhaps even a loss of control on loose surface whilst avoiding a large truck cresting a blind summit at 90. Not sure an insurance loss adjuster could stay awake either!

That grain of sand is nothing like it when you are on a bike or motorbike, or some low screen cars.

I think you miss the point, there is nothing wrong there on that vid, but posting stuff is there for ever, and it can show nothing or show that you might be exceeding speed limits.

Those that show the Speedo / GPS and the roads driven are taking a chance if ever anything does go t!ts up.

There have been Youtube Posters recently living to regret it, a few around the NC500 might be soon as well.

Yes I did think those trees were whoosing past rather quickly! I wonder if insurance would decline a cracked windscreen if they knew it happened at 90mph? Perhaps not.....

?

Who can identify the car in the Video, without the use of Google?

Would a windscreen fitting firm near the Moray Firth have one in stock?

You'd think people have sussed by now that you can't post nefarious things on social media and not expect it to bite you up the ar5e

Not seen the guy that posted his record time John O'Groats to Land's end being done for anything yet.

No idea how he was not pulled though.

It looks like the car is a Lotus yellow but I can't identify it. Go on then, what is it?

Could you post a photo of your average mpg as your figures appear to be higher than the figures quoted by Skoda for the 1.4 tsi.

With a bit of luck this Welsh idiot's details have been circulated throughout the insurance industry and he will be blacklisted before he is able to kill some innocent motorist or pedestrian.

His car and number plate are the biggest clues...
