Hi. I recently bought a used Skoda Rapid Spaceback (SE Tech '65, 89BHP, 1.2 TSI) and it didn't come with a navigation SD card. I've been trying to work out exactly what version "infotainment" unit I have and I thought it was MIB1 (not MIB2) due to the buttons and the gloss surround. I also thought it was 315 (not 310) due to the 5 lines of info on the System info screen (Hardware 5Q0035874A). I've done a lot of reading and researching online (including searching Briskoda forums) as the manual tells me nothing! But now I search for the part number and this shows it's Amundsen MIB2?!? I have the box with 2 SD card slots in the glovebox. What have I got?!?

 

Basically I'm trying to make sure I buy the right SD card off eBay, as recommended in previous posts, but I'm not seeing anything that specifically says "this is the one for your car". There are VW cards that say they should suit me. There are Skoda cards too. They start at about £25 and go up to £65. The Skoda ones say "Rapid (NH)" - what does this mean? All Rapids or just some?

 

As you can see, I've got myself very confused, as I'm sure may others have too. Can anyone point me to a definitive source or answer, other than going to Skoda and spending £209 on an SD card?? Any links or pointers very much appreciated. I'll then try to check what I have and see what I can get. Thanks for any advice.

Should prob be in the general Rapid section rather than guides, tried to move or delete but could not see how...

Rapid NH = both hatchback and spaceback versions.

 

RNS315 was fitted to pre "facelift" (mid 15) cars. Your car is the newer version so it doesn't have the 315 (aka Amundsen+)

 

Since I cant be arsed doing my own knockoff SD card (the map files are downloadable and instructions are available on SCN and surely loads of other places) I would ask on here (Rapid section or ICE section) if anyone has a recommended seller on ebay whose pirate cards are known to work.

 

 

5Q0035874A is an MIB2 unit. I have a spare card here for sale if needs be.
