Does everyone avoid taxes to some degree ?

Pay in cash, use tax loop holes, legal, grey and outright evasion.

Our current Chancellor of the Exchequer had his city bonus paid in to an oversea account to avoid UK taxes !!

Saj has declined to go in to detail as FT article says...

Dublin / Ireland has a strange strong economy and the UK land bridge assists on that, and free travel and the Irish getting a vote or some on the UK being in or out of the EU is strange.  Those responsible for a strong Irish economy are crapping themselves.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that it was never about the freedom to exploit new markets.......so what was it all about.

Endless untruthful pejorative slogans dealt out by charlatans with their own secret agenda.......and getting away with it.

Anyone interested in Brexit and the attitude of top Tory party members to anyone who disagrees with the trumpian outlook of Boris should listen to Edwina Curry on the Pat Kenny show on Newstalk radio here yesterday morning. You can listen to the podcast here https://www.newstalk.com/podcasts

Here's an upside to Brexit. BMW's will be dearer and that means less people on your roads and less Irish people on Irish roads importing used Beemers from the UK. Win, win and win I think!

More Dacias in the UK as it will be even more popular.   Skodas use to be cheap but not the cracking deals they were.

Maybe Jags, Land Rovers, Nissan will be cheap for a while as they shift them before moving the factories in to Europe mainland.

Funny you mentioned that @Lee_Esq, LBC discussed that yesterday and several journalists have agreed to stop citing number 10 sources (Cummings) and only go by either Conservative or Government sources.

Seems the commons will be given a new choice next week

@paulkennedy

What might happen if there are increased tariffs on Imported Cars to the UK is that the ridiculous RRP's and then cars Pre-reged and sold at 'offer prices'

or leased at RRP's might stop.

What is the point of hiking the 'fictional cost' and paying the extra Tax / Duty which is all the Tariffs will be.

As to Financial Services in the UK or maybe those now in the RoI, that is a lot to do with the Finance that is on vehicles that are not worth really what shows on the Stock List of vehicles values.

So much kidology in the world of Banking & Leasing / Financing.

Air / Road / Sea miles of parts back and fore to work the taxation on profits system should concern the young as much as the affect on the environment from food

importation.

Lets see them enjoy their root veg, soft fruits and sea foods that are available from their local areas.

Lets see them more involved in farming, fishing and processing these staple foods for low wages.

Aspman - if Scotland leaves UK, Wales will seriously think about it. It turns out that Wales voted to leave EU due to ENGLISH voters living in Wales.

Never heard the English in Wales causing the leave majority. I assume you have a source for this or will remove the comment if none provided?

Just had to look up Danny Dorling and the report that gave the guts of the Guardian article.
http://www.dannydorling.org/?p=6954

Whilst it offers no evidence to back up the assumption but instead is a paragraph in a much more interesting article. It is also flawed by Merthyr Tydfil who voted 56% to leave who don’t fit in with his assumption of Welsh border towns popular with English retirees.

The following articles give a better explanation and its not down to place of birth but national identity and backed up by research.

Caerphilly, Swansea, Powys, Neath Port Talbot more anomalies that voted leave and still don’t fit Danny Dorlings comment or it could just be a poor theory

Why is Boris Johnson not DEAD IN A DITCH if he cannot get a deal / his no-deal AND is asking for an extension?

Sorry if this was asked before. I did not manage to read 177 pages of comments.

EU poised to defer extension decision until parliament choreography is better understand

Looks like the EU has got bored of the remainers tactic of kicking the can further down the road and creating more uncertainty in doing so. Now they want an extension to allow the ratification of WAB with no more games.

I’d actually find it amusing if we crashed out without a deal due to Remainers delaying tactics
