There has been a few threads on here recently about certain motoring journalists so I thought about starting a Poll to see who you think is the best current motoring TV presenter.

I think it would be difficult to pick just one so you can vote for upto 3 different people.

These are the choices:-

Clarkson is good but there can be only one VBH!!

Are we voting on general appearance, or just quality of presenting/programming. Because although JC is a tuuat, he works well with the other two on TG, which makes for good programming. I watched 10 minutes of fifth gear last night, saw a F1 car Vs M5 bit, which was just a little bit silly and boring. Then switched channels.... The appeal of Top Gear could just be down to script writing, but either way, it works.

I've voted Clarkson, Mallory, May in that order. Clarkson for entertainment, Mallory because she knows what she's talking about and doesn't waffle (and just LOOK at that picture :eek: :drool:), May because he makes me laugh and he likes proper British cars. Needell used to be good but these days he just does too much showing off and not enough serious evaluation.

Clarkson is the best for entertainment, I like his style, but I also dislike his very blinkered and shallow view sometimes READ: all the time.

For example... the 350Z - A Datsun with a Renault engine, rubbish.

Diesels are the work of Satan...

I must say, presenters aside, I miss the old style Top Gear. I love the new one, but I think there is a market for a genuine back to basics car comparison/review programme.

VBH is cute, but a rubbish presenter imho. Tiff used to be great, but again is now just a show off who doesn't seem to care.

It's got to be James May, Captain slow! He's cool, Clarksons good too, as is Hammond. Most of the others don't really care too much about those.

Top three on the list for me

Clarkson is the best presenter.

But VBH is well worth it...
