Slow factory orders

what sort of accessories? sounds like quite a haul....!

personally i'm not worried about brexit date of 31st Oct - i don't think anything drastic will happen on that date now.

I think Jan 31 is the date to watch for that one.

seems like it's just the way it is unfortunately.

change of MY has caused absolute havoc.

the problem is i'm not spoilt for alternatives with a different manufacturer based on the price and the high level of options which come included on the L&K.

Yes, that the key point that brings me back to the Kodiaq L&K...ticks all the boxes and some. Looked at Q5, XC60, X3, Discovery Sport and none of them are as attractive as a package compared to the Kodiaq L&K for the price point.

Yep

XC60 is an insulting price once you try and match the options which come as standard on the L&K, and even then it doesn't include everything!

sounds like a tractor also...no way as refined as the Skoda I found.

13 weeks is quick for a 2.0 TSI

well done

My bear was a sportline with not many options (just towbar, reverse camera, dsg paddles, kids pack) so that perhaps helped. Are the delays maybe more to do with the combination of all new L&K model along with certain engine options in that trim level than just specifically down to engine choice alone.

I have been told they do not have sufficient parts for the 190 diesel.

My build week is now provisionally week 48 and I ordered very start of June.

My understanding (from my now extensive conversations with Skoda UK) are they are having a particular challenge meeting demand for the L&K specifically.

Maybe that's why mine seems to be progressing, I ordered an edition 150TDI 4x4 DSG and then speced it up to the a l&k minus the sun roof because I didn't want one. Mine is code 20 with build week 39, ordered 23rd July and provisional delivery date from dealer was 30th Oct so it seems pretty much on track.

Quite what the major hold up and difference is with the l&k over fully speced edition is a major head scratcher.

Maybe its the Pan roof?

There was a big shortage causing weeks on weeks of delays a couple years back, so quite possibly.

Got the email from the dealer today, I pick mine up on Thursday next week. I ordered on the 8th of July, 2.0 TSI SEL.

I thought I'd put my mind at rest today and used Skoda chat to check on my cars status what with all these issues everyone seems to be having.

It was confirmed build week 39. I hope everyone else get their orders processed with minimal delays

For those who have ordered an L&K and 190PS diesel as I have. I was on skoda chat this morning asking why my order had moved from status 10 to 00 and any update on this situation. It looks like there is an issue due to high demand of the L&K trim and possibly combined with 190PS diesel engine.

Six weeks after placing my order. Status Code 00. Thankfully I've only paid £250 deposit and the little extras I'm going to get for it are just a list in my head!

So now it would appear that its both the 150 and 190 engines!

So today's update - Still no update - Speak to your dealer - sounds like situation is getting worse...

Simon Hi - looking for a build date... still...

Paul Hi Simon, you are through to Paul, I will check the status now for you.

Simon thanks

Paul Is your order a KODIAQ L&K 2.0 TDI 150 PS DSG? 11:22 Simon Yes - in Blue

Paul Thank you for waiting, I am sorry but a build date has not yet been allocated, I am aware that Lead Times have been extended, I would recommend speaking to your Retailer for an update regarding this.

Simon He has no news... and is also waiting... car was ordered 8 weeks ago on 12 week delivery... what is the issue?

Paul There has been an update today on the Lead Time, your Retailer should now be aware of this and will advise you further.

Simon And is it so top secret that you can not advise because message self destructs?

Paul I can understand your frustration, your Contract of Sale is with the Retailer, they will be able to advise you further regarding the delay.

utter shambles - i don't even have the energy to speak to my dealer about it as they probably wont have any updates like you mention above

I have a very friendly and trusted salesperson in a SEAT dealership and he is the Motability Specialist.

He had no problem telling me the minimum wait it would be on the various engines in different models and which he has customers waiting for certain vehicles and he can just not get them one anytime soon.

The issue is shortages, demand and SEAT UK & Skoda UK, VW Group UK not being very honest to potential customers and Sales Executives keeping customers hanging on a wish and a half promise hoping to not lose a sale.

So spoke with dealer - he knew nothing about the reason for the delays... So he called Dealer Support ... They informed him there are delays on the Sportline and L&K models....

Is it only the bumpers they share - that is not used on other cars? or does the Sportline also have Pan Roof?

But still no confirmed build date..

Sportline doesn't come standard with pano roof, as far as I know its front and rear bumpers and that's all that makes the l and k and sportline different to rest of range. (Except vrs)

'Not long now',

until the Dealerships get a message like last year.

"Please manage customers expectations.".   This means just keep joeying them along, do not have them cancel orders.

thought this would be the case - i cant even be arsed to speak to my dealer

thanks for the update

So 9 weeks after order 150 TDI L&K 4x4 DSG... still no confirmed build date.

I chatted on Saturday and they asked me to get back in touch today - so they could speak with Brand Support

Below (edited - to make it easier to read - no content changed)

Joel Hi, Simon. My name's Joel, here to assist you today. I'm glad to hear that you've come through to us to ask for an update on your order.

Simon Hi Joel - please check chat logs from last week and you will see that I was asked to get back in touch today and you would investigate further

Joel I'm more than happy to do so. Please give me a few moments and I'll take a look for you.

Joel Thanks for waiting, Simon. Just to make you aware that I'm contacting Brand Support to assist in investigating this order.

Simon OK - THANKS

Thanks for waiting, Simon. I've taken a look for you and spoke with the Brand Support team who have advised that the combination on the L&K trim level and the engine that you've chosen has a 4 week delay. I am sorry to say. The best option would be to check back with us in two weeks time to see if there are any updates on your order, on a weekday, so that we can contact Brand Support to check this again. I am sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience caused,

Simon. So what about the 190 Diesel Engine - is that still on big delay - when I ordered it was 11/12 weeks for 150 and 25 for the 190 TDI

Joel - Simon is it still an additional 12 to 14 weeks longer than the 150 TDI?

Joel The 190 PS has a lead time of 25+ weeks and so does the 150 PS of the same specifications (4x4 DSG). This is for if you were to order a new vehicle today, however.

So for those of you waiting or about to order Diesel L&K expect a wait...

So in my case - Estimated 4 week delay is not that bad ....

i checked today for an update too - no further details, still showing as 00 status.

they have advised i check in with my dealer in a months time to get an estimate of when the car will arrive. absolutely shambolic service.

it also drives me mad how slow skoda uk are on their chat, it's as if they're all typing on a mobile phone which takes them ages to reply, but i think i'm getting wound up on small details now because of the wider issue.
