Got my £1000 back from Skoda.
Unsurprisingly they keeping the car on order with the factory so they can get this in to sell from the shop floor

They are now quoting new customers 6months plus lead time on new L&K orders

Clearly not a Skoda ... but the end of my waiting for a new car journey is over!

  • So - Finally my L&K 2.0 TDI 4x4 DSG ordered 22 July has a build date confirmed.... dealer estimates early to mid December Handover.... 6 weeks later than planned..

  • Finally, picked mine up today. I have to say lads that it's well worth the wait, drives like a dream. At the moment there are no squeaks or rattles or grinding noises and everything works. The de

6,000 miles a year to the nursery is how many Pence / Mile?

Nice car, but . . . . . .

Think of the number of hotel nights or gallons of fuel you could have instead.

These are are my guides when I realise that life’s one big Compromise 😀

I hear you on the nursery drop offs but also an excuse to do more UK staycations.

hopefully not as many trips to the petrol station as originally planned.

Todays delivery update

Last time I spoke with Skoda Chat - they said give it 2 weeks and check back with us we should have a firm date..

So today ... 2 weeks later I check in..... car still shows provisional build date week 45 (early Nov) but check back with us in 2 weeks for further progress.. we should have a firm date for you by then.

On the + side... spoke with dealer who confirmed that I can swap to new finance program they have started... which is 3.9% APR instead of the 5.8% deal a few months ago...

So its just sit and wait..

What ramp?

Well, the ramp is one thing but what bothered me about all the Allspace and the Tarraco's  I've seen was the deep wells at the rear right and left. For a dog owner, hose things seem like total leg breakers. The ends of the stored luggage cover sticking into the wells make them even worse (probably nice extra storage though if you don't need to worry about dogs).

Most of the the Kodiaqs (5 and 7 seater) I've seen at were flat in the rear right and left - though some models (basic trim levels?) seem to have a well too.

A negative for dog people could be a plus for doggers.

Skoda for Fun,

SEAT / VW for funsters.

Ahhhhh - that explains why the VW salesman argued with me when I said his Allspace was lethal for a dogging dude like me.

He said I'd get a lot of pussy in the back too. Maybe he wasn't referring to my cats.

I went from code 30 on friday 27th sept to still code 30 on fri 4th oct to code 40 today, by-passing codes 36 38 & 39. Car is at sheerness and i've been advised that it can take up to 10 days to reach dealer + around 4 days to arrange PDI. Then I'll find that the order has been screwed up and it's not the car I ordered - You can see it coming can't you 🙄

Ah well, fingers crossed, If I hadn't seen everyones woes on here I would have to conclude that skoda have done exactly what they said they would and everything is on track and they are a decent company to deal with 🤔

For those interested it was ordered on July 22nd, dealer placed order on July 23rd and the estimated completion date was Oct 30th

Good for you. Hope it all goes to plan!

its evident the delays are to do with the additional trim of Sportline, L&K. Wonder if VRS are also held up.

your edition has sailed through 👍

But no-one seems to know exactly which parts they are having trouble sourcing and skoda are saying nothing 🙄

If it hadn't been for the panoramic roof I was going to go L&K myself 🙁

make sure you post pics on here when you get it!

really hoping a Karoq or citigo doesnt turn up for you and it is the kodiaq as you ordered 😃

Ordered my car in August and found today that my order status is now 10 for week 45 (slipped a week). Called Skoda finance to see if I could swap to the new  deal and they said that fine as nothing is started until near collection of car so can either leave on existing deal or move to the new one. So that was good to hear (from the source!). Also I asked about the deposit and they said it was the same ie. You would get the increased amount :).

The original deposit I had was £2000 with Finance - that went to £2750

But I also had a £1000 Dealer Reg Bonus - I lost that - so net £250 worse off - but the interest saving is like £1800 - so still £1500 win..

Similar to me but I only had the £500 SUV bonus originally so was up by £250 after the additional £750 on their deposit contribution. As you said though it’s the interest payments that save an incredible amount; £1900 for me. It’s bank loan APR territory which for a PCP is great!

Can anyone clarify in standard calendar terms when week 50 is please? I'm told this has been scheduled as my build week, but things are very opaque as I'm hearing this through a lease company...

Mine was week 39 which was 23rd sept so week 50 will be 9th December

Damn, but thanks. I need it by mid January and that's looking very unlikely with the Christmas period in between...

I would say its possible... but will be close...

Week 50 build will mean leave factory week 50

Could make boat week 51 and arrive to UK

Then week 1/ 2 Transport PDI....

Just had an email from my dealer. Original estimate for delivery was 30th November. However still no build date and likely to be January before I see the car. Bugger!

heart breaking- I’ve got no idea what they’re playing at.

I’m still surprised they’ve not put out some sort of official release explaining the real reason for the delays.

The line I got was, "There has been a delay with the new wave of emissions testing called RDE"....

So - Finally my L&K 2.0 TDI 4x4 DSG ordered 22 July has a build date confirmed.... dealer estimates early to mid December Handover.... 6 weeks later than planned..

Great news, at least it'll be here this side of Christmas, I think mine is still on holiday at sheerness. God knows why, most want to get away from there ASAP 🤣
