And if your build date is november then it'll be early to mid october for a confirmed build week.

Any explaination? busy factory? Particular build?

Last week the excuse was the WLTP testing... that was ongoing.... but I thought this was already completed for Kodiaq ....

But my feeling is that really they just have no idea....

That seems to be about the sum of it. I hope it's not too painful a wait for info for you

Similar to you skoda chat have said there still isn’t a confirmed build date. They advised I get on to my dealer so I did just that.

Dealer has advised he had a conversation with Skoda UK about it and they estimate my car will be built end of Oct.

i don’t understand how the system cannot give this information but Skoda ‘think’ it’ll be built end of Oct.

painful and i agree with the poster above who mentions about not getting a new build again - I hope it’s worth it!

This is what the dealer sees. There are 10 codes:

  • 00: Without Production Week
  • 10: With Production Week
  • 20: With Production Order
  • 30: In Transit From Factory
  • 36: In Port of Exit - not Released
  • 38: In Port of Exit - Released
  • 39: Vehicle Shipped
  • 40: UK Port
  • 60: In Transit to Dealer
  • 70: At Dealer

Until the car has a status code of 20 for Production Order, then the build week can only be estimated. Ask the dealer for the status code of your vehicle.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Placed my order on 29th August 2019 for an L&K 190 DSG in moon white with a number of extras. The dealership came back advised it would be provisionally 29th of November 2019 for delivery which I was surprised at and took with a pinch of salt.

3rd September got an update from dealership with Order number and also advised build week 44 (end of October) allocation with status 10 (allocated production week status). I check with Skoda chat and they confirmed the same. So was very happy to hear this and actually made me think that the dealership estimated date could be achievable.

5th September an email from Skoda that the order been confirmed and next stage is production.

Then on the 9th of September, I was on chat with Skoda and they confirmed build week is no longer allocated on my order. Advised that the factory may be reshuffling the orders before reallocating the build week. Suggested to try next Monday when the factory replan for an update.

From the folks experiences on this forum, is this normal???

Happened to me last year when my Bear was being built. The good news was that shortly afterwards the build date moved forward two weeks. Hopefully it’s good news for you to.

Is this a diesel or petrol?

I would believe any of the dates you have been given!

I ordered my 190 in June and don't have a build week so am shocked they gave you a build week in less than a week from ordering.

Just be ready for the: its WLTP, it's shortage of seats / wheels etc, or too many orders story!

Welcome to the waiting club

It's a 190 diesel.

When i wanted to order in mid July I was told 190 Diesel was 25 weeks delivery by 2 different dealers - but 150 Diesel was 12 weeks

So based on that and my experience on the 150 I have on order I do not believe a word of it..

Hi,

New to the forum and thought I'd share my (positive) experience.

Ordered a new Kodiaq L&K 190 TSI with a few options on 26 June 2019 and was given a provisional build date of  w/c 19 August 2019 within a couple of days with an expected delivery of w/c 23 September 2019. Was notified that the car had been built and was on its way to the port on 21 August 2019. Revieved an email on 4 September 2019 notifying me that the car had reached the UK port, then a phone call a couple of hours later to tell me that the car had just turned up to the dealer! PDI took place on 6 September 2019 as the dealer sent me a video of it happening and took delivery this Monday morning.

I'd heard a few horror stories which made me nervous (baby 2 due in late October and the old car had limited space) which seem supported by this thread, but it's actually been very positive so far!

So based on that and my experience on the 150 I have on order I do not believe a word of it..

My original order that I placed early august, I was advised similar and that expect delivery early January 2020 for the 190PS diesel version. Then I cancelled the order with this specific dealership and then went to my local dealership 2 weeks later who matched the deal and was surprised when he came back with the date of 28th November 2019!.

From my understanding from other sources, it could be that this dealership had an order already placed and hence unconfirmed build slot that they changed the specification to what I had ordered.

So lets see what happens.... :)

I don't know about build lead time differences between trim levels and engines in the kodiaq range. But what I found with my 2.0tsi sportline was a vast difference in the timetable quoted by my dealer and then with skoda customer services. Dealer was always best case scenario, skoda customer services always tended to be worst case scenario. Somewhere in the middle is where I ended up. Mine was order 1st week of May, I took delivery on 9th August, some 3 weeks after dealers initial quote of mid july, but a couple of weeks earlier than skoda customer services estimate.. How long your vehicle has to wait for onward shipping at the exit port in Germany and also transportation from the entrance port in the UK to the dealer can vary a lot as well.

13 weeks is quick for a 2.0 TSI

well done

When I ordered my TDi 150 I was told 10 weeks, and it was ready for collection bang on 10 weeks. Guessing I was lucky going for that engine..

Yep!

Live chat excuse tonight is there is a ‘Europe wide delay’ with the 190 Petrol engines.

OK well looks like I’ve had the truth now straight from the horses mouth (Skoda UK via the factory).

The factory does not have any build capacity for Kodiaq until the end of November - therefore I will be lucky to see the car in the UK this side of 2019.

Considering next steps. Devastating.

What car spec did you order and when did you place the order?

It’s a L&K 2.0 TSI

ordered 26th July, original estimated delivery date 7th Nov.

From the conversation I had this morning it’ll be 2 months late.

Mine is 2.0 TDi L&K - here's todays update ... or not... original delivery date was end October - ordered at dealer 22nd July (2019)

Simon Hi can you tell me current build status date  Thanks

Hi Simon, you're through to Imran at ŠKODA UK. I will be assisting you today.

Please allow me a few moments.

Thank you for waiting. Your vehicle does not have a build date.

Simon This is just rediculous - it was ordered more than 7 weeks ago with a delivery date of end October

Your vehicle's original build week was starting from the 1st week of November. The production is currently full and the factory is trying it's best to push all orders into production as soon as they can.

Simon At point of order dealer confirmed 11 to 12 weeks for the 150 TDI and 25 weeks for the 190 TDi - so I choose the 150 to get delivery - so what is latest unconfirmed build date?

Currently there is a provisional build week starting from 4th of November, however, this has not been confirmed so it can change.

Simon so the same as 3 weeks ago.

Simon I hope Skoda will be picking up the costs associated with any extra duties for the delivery being after the Brexit deadline - instead of before - if it happens!

I'm sorry, as I've mentioned previously the production is full so as soon as the factory can fit your vehicle in for production they will.

Any changes due to Brexit will be given to you by your Retailer.

Hi,

When I was about to place my order back in early August I was advised the same that the 190 was nearly 28+weeks but I could have the 150 version  with 12 weeks. As I still have a car, i decided to stick with the 190 diesel version. However, when I placed my original order at a non local dealer (that was the cheapest) the date they came back with was early February 2020 which was expected. I decided to cancel a week later due to not wanting to go down the PCH route.  I then ordered the same car again at my local dealer with matching specification at the end of August and was advised a delivery in 12 weeks! ....so yeap that was me confused. This was then later confirmed a week later with an order number and a provisional build date of week 44 with status 10. Then as per my original post the status moved back to 00 but according to skoda with a provision date of week 44 still.

So waiting.......

seems like it's just the way it is unfortunately.

change of MY has caused absolute havoc.

the problem is i'm not spoilt for alternatives with a different manufacturer based on the price and the high level of options which come included on the L&K.

Agree... my situation is worse.. I have around £1700 of accessories for it sitting here... so if I cancel... I have to sell them at a big loss too....  but if the Brexit pushes price up 10% and then moves it into the higher tax band... that's about an extra £5,000...  so will seriously consider take the loss on the accessories and cancel...
