iOS 13 Bluetooth hiccup with Columbus infotainment system

Featured Replies

Has anyone got a solution for this problem that arises when the infotainment system tries to wirelessly connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth?

I have to escape the PIN prompt to get any functionality out of the infotainment system because entering the iPhone PIN causes the screen to freeze with “Please wait”, whether with the right PIN or not. Any ideas?

Unpair the phone and start again, re pair and it should be okay.

Second up date last night, the current iOS should be 13.1.1

That is all

The problem is...iPhone. 😛

No problems with iPhone until this one (if it is a problem).

The problem was with iOS 13.0, 13.1 and 13.1.1

I'll retry unpairing as I thought I tried that and failed.

Will look into it again.

Hate to say it was as easy as that, but my previous attempt at unpairing wasn't "complete" enough.

I had to "Forget the devise" in order for it to repair without that problem.

Hoping it's now solved.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I forgot to say, forget the device. 🤔

Haha. I took that extra step and it worked. Thanks!

Don't get this hassle with Android. 😇

I've been running the iOS13 beta for several months and never had this problem with my iPhone XS.

I had this problem and spent over an hour with Apple Support with a call to the dealer. It was resolved by removing the pairing in BOTH Bluetooth and CarPlay.

Removing it from CarPlay was not enough. The Octavia CarPlay does not have a PIN. The most disconcerting aspect is that the "PLEASE WAIT"

remains there indefinitely ... no error message.

Thank you Rustynuts. This has been stressing me out for days now (ever since my IOS 13 update!!). Two minutes on this site and you’ve solved my problem.  Beers in the mail to you👍
