Linked to the new Mk4 Octavia SEAT released more details on the engine line up of the Leon and ST Estate version will mirror the Skoda with the 1.4TSi Hybrid with 242bhp as well as the 242bhp 2.0TSi engine and hotter 296 and 306bhp Cupra versions. No news on prices yet probably released at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

The mk3 looks much better IMO.

The car in the pics still has some disguise panels I think

Geneva Motor Show 2020 Cancelled

This was where the O4 vRS was due to have its grandstand moment. I wonder whether the lack of the media splash it would have got will be reflected in footfall to the dealers & lease agencies?

I’m definitely interested in the iV vRS, 240 ish bhp PHEV version. My daily commutes covered just on electricity, longer drives with a 2L TSI

Any news yet on whether any of the variants will offer 4 wheel drive?... i hope the hybrid or Petrol see 4x4 this time around.... I’d be temped to chop in my diesel vrs 4x4 for one then!

Only the diesel. The only AWD petrol in the whole range is the 190PS 320Nm 2.0 TSI. I drove it in the Scout, and around town the power felt just as good as an RS, even better in the rain.

The RS iV only has a 150PS 1.4 petrol engine.

That’s really disappointing, with the popularity of the Golf R, I thought Skoda would want to create a tamed down, understated 4wd Petrol with the 250~ bhp petrol as a Golf Rs younger cousin. Especially with a Superb 272 Sportline/L&K kicking around (being faster than any VRS)

maybe next time :(

You can thank VW's internal politics for that... The new Curpra Leon ST does look nice though and has the Golf R drivetrain.

I did see that and it looks pretty awesome tbf... but I just am not a fan of Seat and it’s looks... (and I’m not getting a Golf R, too many get stolen near me) much prefer the Skoda brand but not sure what my options will be now... stick my current diesel Vrs 4x4 I think

Plus an approx. 100bhp electric motor.

The person I was replying to said they're interested in the RS iV as their daily commutes would be covered on electric propulsion, and for longer drives the petrol engine, which is not 2L. I was merely just correcting the displacement of the petrol engine.

Buy a 2019 Superb Sportline Plus 272 (mine made 283bhp on the rollers) then stage 1 remap and with 360bhp it will leave any Vrs in it's wake and mine with the remap cost just £24,300 and it averages 38mpg.

Never a real Shy post without mileage... Would be cool my Golf R got the same mileage but I quite frankly couldn’t care less, what’s an extra £1.20 per 62mi to have more fun?

Still amazing the economy the EA888s achieve for the power you make.

£24300 is a very good price, I’ll most likely wait a year but 100% will be my next car. With 360bhp does it feel quick, or does the weight of the car show?

You can use all the power even on a wet road as upto 50% of the 514nm torque can be moved to rear axle for better traction. Chap on here based in Italy recorded some performance figures.

0-30mph 1.7 seconds.

0-50mph 3.2 seconds.

0-60mph 4.3 seconds.

0-87mph 8.1 seconds.

0-100mph 10.46 seconds.

Quarter mile in 12.52 seconds at 110mph.

Yeah feels that fast with the 7 speed DSG changing gear quicker than any manual gearbox. Doesn't feel 1,627kg.

Awesome figures. Thanks

Has anyone heard where/when the VRS will be launched? As the Geneva show is cancelled.

Should be able to order one in the UK around August for delivery October/November 2020 delivery.

The RS iV is now up on Autogefühl.

That’s just the iV model. Part of me is expecting a few cosmetic differences to this and the ICE only vRS, just like the Golf GTI and Golf GTE. Maybe not though.
