Taxi drivers driving mk3 vrs

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Any taxi drivers driving vrs tsi engine

possibly can you tell me how they like on fuel local runs and roughly the mpg

I currently run a tdi vrs

Wanting to try out a tsi

Thanks all

Hi,

I'm running a 2016 tsi vrs as a private hire at the moment,  around the houses you'd be looking at 31-34mpg, on a run 40-44mpg.

Not great, but not disastrous either.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thankyou for the information

Is that manual or dsg ?
And roughly how much mileage do u get on a full tank of fuel ?
Lovely  looking car with them 19inch wheels 👌👍

It's a manual, a full tank will get you somewhere inbetween 350 and 400 miles depending on the nature of the jobs you do and how much you exploit the extra bhp.

You'll get a fair few compliments on your car if you get a petrolhead in and that can lead to extra tips 😉.

The 19s look great admittedly, but the ride can be a little unforgiving over anything but perfect tarmac. Plus the tyres are a little more expensive.

That said, the car's a joy to drive, I don't regret running a petrol and the repairs are a little cheaper, no dpf for a start.

My tdi vrs roughly gives me around 300/330 full tank also being a manual

Did think about the dpf issues though

My car is in the rally green and does turn heads but for tips it’s a no no 😂

Think I’ll have to have a drive of the petrol version and make the decision from there

True roads are crap even on the standard 18 inch still bangs into potholes all day long

Thanks  for the info 👍

I do a London commute and get 350-400 miles per tank so 30-35mpg urban. Then 40-45mpg on a longer motorway or dual carriageway run.

Wish I drove it like I stole it to many mobile speed vans about

maybe I should do that 😂😂

I get between 450 and 500 miles out of a full tank in my vrs dsg diesel

Is that all local mileage or mix of both

cause most I get is around 300/330 full tank on tdi manual

If it's all motorway and I run it down to say 10-15 miles left in the tank then I can get 500 miles pretty easily. I average 450 miles from a tank with mixed driving

That’s really good going

Last time I brimmed my tank with 25 miles left on display I checked with the on board computer and total mileage was 330

Thats all local mileage

Mines seems to give me around 45 miles before the needle moves off from full mark then it is all downhill

On the other hand average fuel fill up is around £55/60
