Hi, i have Skoda superb 2021, can anyone help me identify what i have, there are so many topics and names of infotainment systems that my head is spinnig already

My questions are:

1. what system i have ? Amundsen ?

2. Is there software updates for this model ?

3. Last picture, black box what mib is it ? is it any good? it doesn't have sd or dvd, the only option to update my system is via USB or usb-c port.

4. what better mib system would be if i wanted to upgrade ?

1. Not sure, other than it's MIB3

2. Yes your diagnostic SW is correct, version 0306 is available

3. Not enough detail

4. Could be expensive to swap for little benefit (and the infotainment system is tied into other car systems)

 

So you could update SW, but do so at own risk.

The firmware is EU region locked, so nearly all regions are supported.  So will Contain many languages inside.

 

You can update to 0369, and the swines don't provide a changelog per se.

okay, been away for a while. since i don't want to fuss around with firmware i tried to update navigation maps. since there is no option to update within settings i tried with pressing menu for 10 seconds and then selecting update...i was on internet normally (hotspot). and then it just went to this  menu...is this normal (i can only choose reboot since all other commands are not responding...).

and...sorry, i think i am using mib3 amudsen (you can transfer my question to other topic)

Engineering mode is for firmware updates mostly.

So you need to either place map files extracted to USB and wait.... or get online connection subscription.

oh, so this is normal procedure then? ok, i'll put the usb drive in and try.

Good luck, if it updates the map, return to thread to let us know.  It might take a few hours of driving for it to load new map data if it does at all.

I have done already the developer mode ON

@Cristiano I can send you either the correct update of 0369 version to match your 03xx version, and try to assist in activating carplay etc.

Or you can have 0480 firmware, and you will be having to follow your own set of instructions as I won't assisting in changing 02xx to 03xx or 04xx versions (risk is high to break if not careful)

 

So let me know what you wish to go with.
