I don't think the VAG would release an update that could break their own radios, could be wrong.

I can send the file and you can do more research to see if you need to muck about with parameter files.

Even if you don't use, you can update maps here... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/512842-amundsen-mib2-map-updates-2024/

That way you have a backup to Google maps/Waze etc

There is update to 0253 version

 

As for unlocking features, you have 2x choices, one you can contact a dealer or independant and get a code to unlock (kerrching)

Or you can get the radio modified via a "toolkit" which is best discussed in PM.
