I read that BOSE may not work after the update and it must be parameterized using VCP or ODIS. What is the truth?

I don't think the VAG would release an update that could break their own radios, could be wrong.

I can send the file and you can do more research to see if you need to muck about with parameter files.

I've recently got a Karoq, 2018 model and I was wondering if there's an update for the infotainment system.

 

Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0472T

Installed SW MU version: 0472

Part number: 5Q0035874C

Software version: H29.319.51_STD2Nav_EU

 

Hardware: H41

Software: 0472

Navigation database: 5L0051236AH  1030  ECE1 2018/19

Even if you don't use, you can update maps here... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/512842-amundsen-mib2-map-updates-2024/

That way you have a backup to Google maps/Waze etc

There is update to 0253 version

 

As for unlocking features, you have 2x choices, one you can contact a dealer or independant and get a code to unlock (kerrching)

Or you can get the radio modified via a "toolkit" which is best discussed in PM.
