Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm glad this thread is still going.

I'm revisting this because I want to activate smart link in my 2016 VRS. Skoda want £157 to do it, they want my car in for an hour or two (this is apparently so they can give my car a once over and give me a complementary wash and vac while they do the update)

I'm a bit nervous they will spot all the mods I've done via VCDS and, if they update the firmware in my car, will it reset everything back to factory?

If so I will lose:

Road sign recognition

cornering fogs

Passenger mirror dip

DRLs flash in phase with indicators

high beam assist

I'm on MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0245T at the moment, I could upgrade to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0478T myself but I don't know what the point would be, EG would it add any new features that I don't already have, does it fix anything?

Thanks

The only issue I've identified so far since the upgrade is that all my radio station logos were lost. If you go into the setup for them there's an option to load the logo from USB or SD card. Is there a fire that stores logos per country or any advice to restore?

I found Search (media.info) where you can search for stations individually and download the logos which save as jpg. If I have a collection of jpgs on a usb stick / hard drive how will they be linked to the relevant channel when updating the logos?

Search for a local specialist, you should be able to do it for <£100.

It won't affect your vcds changes

Hi all!

I don't know very well if I have the latest software version or not, and if updating it would bring up the new menus that I have already seen in some with new "folders"

Thank you all!

Sorry, since I asked it a long time ago but I couldn't update and I'm still in this version.

Sorry for the delay, but now that I can keep an eye on the private ones, if someone would be so kind as to send me the update again, I would really appreciate it.

Again a thousand apologies for the delay in responding and thanks to the colleagues who send the updates, out of ten.

Sorry for my bad English.

On the internet I found this software MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0479T would it work for my browser? Or will I spoil it?

Does anyone use logos? They were setup on my default factory install and brightened up the bare radio screens...

Yes - you can download the latest ones from Skoda.

https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/

Assuming you have a MIB2 Amundsen, you probably want these:

https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/Download/RadioLogos/IRL_20200331.zip

https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/Download/RadioLogos/GBR_20200331.zip

If you want to customise them, you can manually assign them as per the owners manual:

Hello, it updated my MIB2_EU_Sk_P0253, it has 367, I put the patch and activate the infon system, but I could not activate the swaps that have installed, but not activated, I tried many times and nothing at all, download version 478 and its patch, but I mistakenly put the patch before the update, (I have a 2sd card) so as not to go to the car twice. Now the screen is locked, the skoda symbol is not removed, there is no way to enter the system again. Please help!!!! Thanks for everything.

Hi all, I'm currently on MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0245T at the moment, I'd like to know if I could upgrade to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0478T? I read something that it might be changing "trains" whatever that is? I assume that means I'd be going from a P02 to a P04 and that might be a bad thing? What is the point in upgrading anyway? Would it add any new features that I don't already have, does it fix anything etc?

Thanks

Hello.. I had 253, and I got to put 367 in it, with its patch and it was going great, and I could watch video, TV, YouTube, but there was swap that I wanted to activate and instead of putting the update first, I mistakenly put the patch and now I have blocked it. But I have seen that there is up to 480 and its patch for MST2_EU_SK_P0XXXX. Greetings

have the same one, I was able to update to 367, with its patch to activate Android auto that didn't have it, I didn't get the sport screen or anything, just the info, I downloaded 478 and its patch, but I mistakenly inserted the patch before than the update, and I have blocked it. But I did it alone and the improvement in voice command is noticeable. Luck.

Fantastic, thanks so much!

So people normally reinstall logos like this after doing the firmware UG? There is not way of backing up and restoring as part of the UG?
