Well, after looking at a map it seems from the SW the best way to go is take the M20 and go down low, bypass Folkestone and cut up on the A20(T) - Looks likegood road all the way, unlike the A2.

I reckon we should meet somewhere just outside the ferry port on the A20. must be some kind of pull-off / road we can all meet in and convoy through customs, etc. :)

I'm confused now[/color'] :)

Well, you are a girl.

We are on a 1300hrs crossing, so will catch up at center parcs ppl.

Well, the prep work has started. Ditched all my "oop north" maps off my Navman and loaded Belgium and certain sections of Western Germany relevant to the coming weekend.

I've heard rumours it might be damp, so wondering where the best forecasts can be monitored during the week? If its looking like a pretty damp weekend I might just leave the track wheels at home and use the Toyos which will be better in the damp.

If it's damp, use the track wheels. If its WET, not much point going on imho.

Ive only got Toyo 888's, so im hoping for dry/damp, just not wet.

Well, as Shifty's navigator its slack you did ignore them! :P

As an aside I have a "Dunkerque to Nurburg" routemap, but I really would sooner have the actual Center Parcs address. Shall look back for that. :)

OK, got it. Nearest place would appear to be "Gunderath" and Centre Parcs is just a little bit past this place on the main road through. Its now plumbed ready into my satnav. "Distance to go: 550 miles" :D

the Toyos i've now got on the front did seem a bit understeery in the damp conditions i drove in this morning , mind you they are a well used pair off Yashicamats (Rob) car LOL

hey, who said anything about navigator?? I'm part of the luggage!

God, if I was navigator we'd stand no chance!!

Well, then. :P You'd better spend the journey in the boot then. :D

*sniff* yeah maybe. I can't believe that this time next week we'll bein Germany! :D

Satnavs with European maps - cripes, I was planning to follow someone else (hopefully witha satnav with european maps :P ).

Looking forward to it...

You can follow me then, but word of warning. Don't get within 100m as its hazardous to your lungs. I should have my navman setup for taking us right to the door.

Mind youre "distances" on the Autobahns ... Since this year the fees for

low distance and so called tailgaiting have been sharpened ...

Thats a good point, no tailgating poeple, the German Police don't like it, and neither will your wallet if you get seen. A safe stopping distance must be maintained at all times from the vehicle in front.

Hopefully the weather will be better than the forcast for Friday and Sunday.

it must be dry sometimes , how would they get super fast track times in all the latest exotic supercars

It's always dry when Fabias are on track.;)

trust me, the A2/M2/A2 is more interesting and less police (the M20 is the channel tunnel rat run). Also there is a carpark about 3 mins from the terminal on the road you will be going down, but the A2 leads right to the port from the other way. We might as well meet up there to be honest.

Not sure. :) Motorway seems easier for just a 70mph cruise all the way there. I might just follow Mr Navman and see what happens.

and there was me just about to say that i will go down the M20 instead of the A2/M2 if we were meeting before getting to the port , dont know what i'm doing now

Sure .. sometimes it is :)

Weather is a bit of a phenomenon there .. it can be that one half of the track

is covered with rain, and the other is warm and sunny ...

You will see it soon ;)
