Hmmm, may bring the SDI out, just fro a laugh.

Failing that, fly to Cologne and rent a smart roadster for 140 Euros for the w/e (including CDW).

Give you a good spanking with that Jason :D

If you come out, you may need to take me out in my own car to give me a true ring lap.... I doubt even in ten laps i'll pluck up courage to really and truly go for it. I find it hard to push the limits, ever since the "you know what" in North Wales.

Or, if I can twist a certain person's arm, I'll give you a lap in a stripped and caged 911 RS on road legal "slicks", failing that, how about a 911 GT3? If my mate is there I'll see what I can do :D

Last passenger I took out couldn't actually undo his helmet strap after 5 minutes (the second time this has happened). Must have been the way his RUF 911 had been driven that did it :D :D :D Well, after 2 laps of "gentle" he asked me to do a quick lap - thought he was going to wet himself! It was just the way he said "my body doesn't work anymore" when I had to unstrap him and help him get his helmet of

Well - I'm hoping with plenty of GT4 action on the ring I'll be a lot more confident come August, but given the opportunity to get a ride round in a 911.....? You better put your hands away else they'll get bitten off! :D

Right i have lots of links which Manny has kindly forwarded to me.

I guess it will be easy if people decide where they want to stay and we can all meet at the Ring during the day.

If we could all stay in the same hotels that would be great but i think it will be a bit of a nightmare to co-ordinate.

What are your views on this everyone who's interested in joining this excursion to motoring nirvana!!!!!

I stayed at the Pension Zimmer last time. Basic but clean and cheap.

You will have to translate. Very nice lady runs it.

Hope that helps.

I would rather be somewhere where at least a.n.other briskodian is nearby. Just have the feeling (knowing me) I'd find myself with a place to stay or end up driving to Poland....

If anyone finds anywhere with enough space, I'm not fussy - just a single bed and a TV and some tuck in the morning will suit me fine.

Looking at the holiday planner in the office, if I can do this then it will be a fly in Saturday and back Sunday as I dont think I can get any time off work this weekend. Will keep you all posted.

Ich bin halbes Deutsch und mein ist schlect auch. We need a Carsten. :D

Would be nice just to book half a dozen rooms, then we can Skoda-convoy to the ring.

So if i decide on a Hotel which i feel will be up to my Fellow Briskodians obvious high standards shall i make a reservation for 5-7 rooms?

 My standards are lower than most, but a decent B&B at what you think is quite good value is fine by me. (and I'm sure by others too)

If you need to financially reserve, I'll happily set you right.

quick question ,how many have expressed an interest in going ?

Well, its at the moment

Here's me interfering and I'm not even going.

I'd really advise against staying in Bonn, it's a fair way from the Ring and then you've got the stress of navigating through a major city.

As previously suggested, Cochem is really nice and has a plentiful supply of hotels/restaurants and is within 20 mins from the Ring along a really nice route. Also, as Cochem is larger than the local Ring villages, there's more chance of you all being together.

I have stayed in Cochem a few times, when Adenau & Nurburg are full. The only hotel I can remember is the Panorama which was very nice.

Alex, as with Jason, you hum it and I'll sing it, roughly translated as you book i and I'll pay you straight off. Happy to do bank transfer, cheque, paypal or even hard wonga!

Thanks for sorting this :)
