How-to: DCC Recalibration

Featured Replies

Yeah, sorry guys, now when going through thread again, it's clear about rear sensor, thank you.

What I don't understand is the Acknowledgement part - @JR RSwould you mind ?

What I did :

- lifted car

- Control Module 14 - Adaptive Suspension

- Entered security code 20103.

- entered Basic Settings

- Select “Adapting with deflected wheels”

- Got error about incorrect sequence

Do I miss something? Thank you.

I have also tried checking the values in adaptation before basic settings, but that didn't make any difference.

OBD11 says that Adaptation is possible, so I wonder what did I miss.

Yes the values will change always, even if small difference the suspension work will improve after calibration, as you may know there's no two equal resistances from manufacture you always have a x% tolerance.

Did you replaced coil springs together with mounting kits ?

- If so, and if you have possibility, repeat the procedure after 300-500km, assuming new parts (coils/rubbers) will fit on place it may change a bit couple mm.. - "but it's not mandatory"

Damn....that's a massive difference between the before and after measures!!

Good to hear it's made a difference.

Just about to fit lowering springs to my DCC suspension.

I only have VCDS so will need to buy OBDeleven. What's the best plan to go for, I'll only be buying it for this.

I do have access to ODIS at a mates garage.

I've heard of some people saying they could do it via VCDS.

I'm not sure though.  I used OBDEleven.

I would imagine ODIS can do it, or maybe that was VCP.

I think it's possible with VCDS after looking at some golf and other VAG forums. If I manage to do it I'll get a recording and post up a how to guide.

Hi all

I changed the DCC absorber with traditional absorber, so May i know how to turn off the DCC, because the error keeps showing up.

Thanks a lot!

The simplest way is to buy an error cancelling kit, these plug into where the shocks used to connect and should prevent errors.

Coding will depend what equipment your car has. There is a brief look at some of the modules involved here: https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/dcc-retrofit.378431/page-11#post-7815140

If you have xenon/LED headlights with self levelling, you'll need to rewire the ride level sensors from the DCC module to another module to perform the levelling.

Thanks for the reply! it is very useful!

I've just done this in vcds after replacing the rear springs. Not a huge difference in the numbers or the drive ('normal' setting still feels underdamped).

At least I know it's set up correctly.

To properly fix that, u need to get the DCC Mod. I realise this not an option for everyone, but if ur able to find someone who can do it - it does wonders and the suspension setup is brilliant, even with the factory 19s.

Does it not measure Rear Right deviation? I notice on your results it says not installed.

The rear only has one sensor, unlike the front which has 2x sensors (one for each axle).

Hence a total of 3x sensors if u have DCC.
