The Newspapers are reporting a 'Snow bomb'  coming for some in the next 3 days. 

Until then this is what you have to mess about on at the Lecht Ski Centre in Scotland. 

 

A disaster for the Christmas & New Year period.

Looks like Christmas will happen and if the roads are crazy with vehicles struggling in the rain then the day can be spent in traffic jams.

Oh yes it was Mike. House is much quieter.

More like it overnight and a chance of some money in for the North East Ski Centres if the weather stays below freezing and the ground can freeze under the snow. 

& the roads kept open!

Very quiet roads & Glen Clova hotel. 

No cars heading to Glen Doll but then the signs saying Car Parked closed and then the Road Closed sign at Glen Clova will have lots to do with that.

Same here just south of Belfast @mac11irl...   Been windy as hell and lashing it down.  We've now got drizzle / rain, flood warnings and thick fog.

Torrential.  5*oC.   Sitting charging car and heater at 25 degrees, heated seat at low.  Not getting out untill rain stops.   Might be here a while.   Hopefully scorchio tomorrow and out cycling and having a picnic.

Just driven from Birkenhead to Sheffield in the dark and the weather was foul.  Windy and real heavy rain so lots of spray and poor visibility on the main roads and motorways then from Macclesfield over the Cat and Fiddle to home really foggy.

 

Not what you need after an overnight ferry with little sleep...

lot of over night rain but a nice day here... we went to the beach for a couple of hours! and didnt even need the coats we brought - it was warmer todY than back i. July down there!

Just an ickle flurry of light snow beginning in Forfar and it is just above freezing.  Not windy yet.
