What's DCC and what is the difference between sport and normal?

Dynamic Chassis Control - in another words Adaptive Suspension.

With DCC, u have Comfort, Normal and Sport settings.

There is considerable differences between all 3 settings.

If u get the DCC mod, u have 15 settings.

I want to improve my DCC settings - from 3 position to slider in Superb 2020.
But whatever I do I cannot change it to slider.

What have I done:

  1. Flashed DCC. From 5Q0907376B to 5Q0907376C.
  2. Updated DCC parameters to Arteon parameters.
(I'v used original parameters from VCP library - maybe this will be cause of the issue. Maybe not all Arteons have slider?)
  3. Changed parameters in FPA Editor:
    image
  4. Uploaded it to the gateway.
  5. Reset unit.

But still looks like this:

Do I need to change something more in FPA Editor? Or should I try with other dataset for DCC module?

*It looks like parameters for gateway are working - because I can change other settings - for example dynamic lights, sport diff...

@Frankenfurter @ApertureS @langers2k - maybe You  could help.

Looks like you already found solution :)

Anyway I can add details here

In addition, need to add all these values to Individual mode to show slider.

I've updated  5Q0907376A to 5Q0907376C just now

Anyone in the UK offering this mod yet?

  • 2 months later...

Chucking my hat into the ring, another for the UK. I do have a local retrofits place near near me, tempted to have a chat.

  • 2 weeks later...

First of all thanks to everyone involved here, and doing amazing job.

For everyone who attempts to do this, make sure you find a person who have done this before as it requires high skills in this platform. In my area I could not find anyone. I could not find any DIY for dumb people, if there are any they are incomplete. It took 10 hours for start and 15 minutes for guy who did the magic.

Impressions from dcc, now it works like in advertisement, day and night difference. Reduces road noises from suspension and tyres, as it's eats small imperfections better and stiffens up on bigger stuff. Front caliper rattling gone (90%), flywheel and gearbox feels much better without being tossed around all the time. Suspension is not bottomed out at all! Feels like bmw / Tesla/  toyota mix.

This is only for people who drives in bad road conditions, when driving on good roads I did not have any of those problems (not in my country).

I recommend doing this to everyone who have option(correct gateway, dcc module) to do so. I would even go for module swap if that can be done. The only problem is finding person who can do this, because nobody wants to be bothered by someone with 1000 stupid questions for the time it takes and money it costs.

PS Does anyone knows how are the Skoda superb mk4 dcc acting?

The mk4 Superb uses the next generation of DCC, called DCC Pro.

It uses 2 valves, hence it can better control the rebounds and compressions, with far superior responsiveness.

The 1st Gen DCC uses only 1 valve.

My only worry is how they did it for Skoda, and how big the difference is compared to VW.

i don't understand.

r u asking why big difference between DCC Slider Mod vs DCC standard?

both VW and SKoda use the same DCC hardware - Gen 1 DCC and Gen 2 DCC Pro systems.

the DCC software algorithm will change between models and brands, for obvious reasons.

We should have a map of who can mod this around the world and plan a stop to a trip somewhere .... 🤪

Hi all,

is anybody able to perform this remotely (Superb 3 FL, with DCC of course).

Is there anyone who done this in Slovenia?

So far I have not seen who can make remote, except very rare cases .... seems not so straighforward.

I also would like an option to someone at lower latitudes .... we wait.

It is not that big deal, just a software update and parameter from arteon/passat.

mibsoluiton got them both, I have odis as well, just wanted someone with more experience to do it, but as I wanted it - tried and works fine for me

The first link is bringing the DCC module up to the new spec.

The second link is the CUSTOM driver profile file you have to make to accommodate the new values 1-15 not 1-3.

Should be all you need.

Aha, this is what I need.. I'll read on in case newer stuff has come along since. I'm not tooled up with VCDS, so next step is to have a search for someone who is.. I'm guessing a decent local VW Audi specialist might offer to do it? For a price, obvs.

@spen686 - in that first link, DCC - the person couldn't get it to work!!

DCC Slider, in simple explanation, requires:-

- Gateway module (#19) to b flashed

- DCC module (#14) to b flashed

- Code changes

- DCC recalibration performed.

Can you do it with VCDS? I thought it was ODIS (or maybe also OBD11?); edit, wait, no, VCP?

No can do with VCDS or OBDEleven.

U need ODIS or VCP

U can however do the DCC Recalibration with VCDS or OBDEleven.

None of which I have so I'm definitely going to need to find someone that knows what they're doing to do it for me.

Any other useful hacks out there folks that are worth having at the same time?

+1 - although looking at options to get one or other (he says naively)

Neither ODIS or VCP r novice tools, nor cheap to own - so I leave it to the experts who know wat they're doing.

Stuff with OBDEleven or VCDS I'm more than comfortable, and have done plenty over the past decade.

I’d still love to get this mod. Anyone now offering this in the U.K.? However, if it’d mean upgrading the MIB the it’d be a no no…

Why's that?

No, it doesn't require the MIB to change.

Mine was an MIB2 Columbus with a 8" screen when I had the DCC Slider Mod done.

+10 for the UK offering.

Its actually starting to look like Eibach Pro-Kit (to resolve the crimes against wheelarch-gaps) and OE Monroe with DCC Slider Mod would be the optimum setup...I've already tagged Aperture in one thread; he'll get annoyed if I do it again...

Hi friend, Is it possible to upload FPA to gateway 5Q0907530AF? Otherwise, I have updated DCC to the version for arteon. 376C
