Software Update available for Bolero?

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

After updating my multimedia to SW 1800, I have a problem. After one week of updating, an error message like "Component Protection Active" appears on the screen. I quickly searched the internet and found some possible solutions, but it was for the MIB2 type multimedia, not for this.

Do any of you guys know how I can remove this error?

My current version is MEN3_EU_SK370_P3355L_1800.

I just updated to 1800, I have a Skoda Slavia in India with the Bolero system. I can confirm that the issue with S23 Ultra is finally resolved! Attaching images.

Cześć, poniżej link do strony z opisem możliwych FW U Ciebie powinno pójść do wersji 742. https://www.drive2.ru/l/650934799095051499/

  • There are these updates, but not sure if the higher number will apply to your system.   MEN3_EU_SK370_P0113P_0469 MEN3_EU_SK370_P2135P_0742   MEN3_EU_SK370_P1185L_1760 ME

Hello everyone,

Found this topic since I'm having issues connecting a new phone(android 15) to my bolero system(Scala 2019) with cable.

After searching through this topic, I updated the software from 0469 to 0742 without problems, but the phone still doesn't connect to the infotainment. Previous phone was working fine through the data cable.

Is there anything else I could try on this car?

And is it correct that 0742 the latest version is for the Scala 2019 with bolero?

Hello Guys,

I went through this topic and want to ask if there is really a sound improvement after 1800 upgrade? So far in the whole discussion I only saw one comment about this and want to be sure, as the upgrade hide some risks. I am currently on 1760 and don't have any issues, connecting iphone 12 to carplay via cable.

What I have noticed is the sound is with worst quality via car play.. With BT is quite louder, but I think the best I've heard of the sound system is via DAB radio.

I did not notice better sound after update from fw1310 to fw1800. Did it only because of android auto issue at samsung s23ultra.

Bro please help I can’t update and can’t find the files

I love this thread. I have Scala 2019 with Swing, but SW TRAIN seems totally identical to Bolero. I have MEN3_EU_SK370_P9305P_MU0463, so what I have read, I need to install:

MEN3_EU_SK370_P0113P MU0469 -> MEN3_EU_SK370_P2131P MU0741 -> MEN3_EU_SK370_P2345L_MU1790 -> MEN3_EU_SK370_P2345L_MU1790 -> MEN3_EU_SK370_P3225L_MU1798 - > MEN3_EU_SK370_P3355L_MU1800

Am I right?

But where I can I get these FWs? I would love to send PM, but i guess, I need as a newbie to make another 19 posts?

Thank you

UPDATE: So I found on the internet all these FWs. Problem is - car doesn't see P0113P update. I was desperate, so I downloaded all these FW (everyone has own folder) together to flashdrive. Car see only two of them - P2345L and P3225L. When I try to choose of them, I see less than a second loading screen and nothing happens.

UPDATE2 (sorry, missing EDIT button) - So my Scala see only FW ending L. Any idea what is causing this? I have P9305P (MU0463) with activated wireless mirrorlink.
Well, without seeing P0113P MU0469 and P2131P MU0741, later "L" updates are unattainable.

UPDATE3 (last one) - Got it - MIB3_V1 - I can't get new FW than 742 with Wireless AA and old version. Well, still can't update to 742, but I guess, I don't have to deal with compatibility issues with some phones with versions 17xx and for now, wiping cash on my Vivo seems to fix wireless AA issues for now.

Hi,

I have a 2020 Skoda Scala, and i started having problems with AA with my old Xiaomi 12T Pro. Official service updated my version to 0742, but problems persisted. Then i changed to 13T pro (newer phone) and worked perfectly. Now i have Xiaomi 15 Ultra and again AA doesn't work.

So after searching on internet, i arrived to this post, and gave me hopes... until i read that my car is not eligible for the update 1800...

Do i have any option besides buying an USB AA?

Thanks!

I attach screens:

Hi, a year later and I am now stuck with the same firmware and phon model. Could you (or someon else) guide me in the right direction to find the 1800 firmware file?

Hi,

I’ve been reading through these forums and found lots of useful info but cannot seem to get the firmware to be recognised by my car. I have a Scala SE 2019 and the infotainment seems to randomly freeze and reboot multiple times during a drive. I’m on version 463 and have read I should go to 469 then 741 and 742. I’ve seen people bricking the unit going past that so I’d rather not try any higher.

I found some files online but cannot get them recognised by my car on a USB formatted both Fat32 and exFAT. Does anyone have any other download or tips? I’ve seen something about a metainfo file but none of the downloads I have this file there. (Attached software versions screens from my Bolero unit)

Do you have the download files for the 469? How did you get it to recognise in the car in the end? Mine just says greyed out with the USB download option.

Hello,

Hi! How did you solve the problem with the USB-C device not being recognized? I have the same firmware as you (MEN3_EU_SK370_P2345L_1790) and I want to update to MEN3_EU_SK370_P3355L_1800, but my 32GB USB-C flash drive is not being recognized...

To large storage. Try 4 gb.

Hi, I tried to delete all the partitions of the 32 GB USB stick, created a single 4 GB partition in FAT32, copied the DATA and META folders to the main directory, but the radio still doesn't recognize it. Any other ideas?

It is in the topic but as I remember folders data and meta should be in folder named by fw, not in root of drive.

Great, thank you! That was the answer I was looking for! I confirm that by copying DATA and META into a folder named FW, the radio recognizes the USB stick and the availability of the update! 👌👍

I still couldn’t get it working! Any chance you can send a screenshot of the folder structure on your USB drive? And did it work with partitioning your drive to a smaller one?

I used a 32 GB USB-C stick, and using the Windows Disk Management tool (WIN + R, diskmgmt.msc), I first deleted the existing partition and then created a new 4 GB one formatted in FAT32. At that point, I downloaded firmware version 1800 from mibsolution.one (though the link hasn't been working since yesterday).

I extracted the downloaded file and found two folders: META and DATA. I created a folder called FW on the USB stick and copied the two folders inside it. Then I went to my car, turned it on, removed the USB stick I usually use for music, inserted the one with the update, turned on the radio, waited about a minute, and the update process started

Perfect. Thanks for that. I’ll give it a go and see if I can get it working.

Hallo,

i would also update my software from 0469 to the latest available version (ambition). Where can i find those FW? I saw that you got it in the forum here.
My connection issues (cable and bluetooth) with android smartphones are there from the beginning (2019) where i got the Scala (1.0 TSI 85 kW/ DKRF). In android auto (see smartphone) you are able to activate developer options. In former times i used software from AAAD/ Android Auto Apps Downloader. There i was able to use different navigation-software. Do you know Fermata-Auto from XDA?
Are you using an OBD II-Scanner???

Best regards
