Virtual cockpit doesn’t seem to nearly as programmable as on the old car. Cannot find how to get fuel consumption since start or refuel, only, historic or instant. Can’t believe it’s not available on the screen but despite spending ages can’t find it. Previous poster showed how to get it from the entertainment screen but settings only gives revolving car and option to rest the mileage and consumption.

Anyone any suggestions?

Sorry no answer for you. But this has been a complaint of mine coming from the old software on a mk3.5 Superb. The options available for display in the dials are way more limited and seemingly certain options are tied to the left and right side with no way of changing them. It’s kind of rubbish.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you are looking for but in the virtual cockpit screen mode that has the dials and fuel info in the centre rotating the right thumb wheel switch between fuel consumption since start, refuel or long term

Thank you to both. I dove back from Lincolnshire yesterday at night - journey of all the types of roads! Detours, A roads, B roads, uphill, downhill and Motorways.

Matrix lights are amazing, although I got flashed a couple of times - at least I think it was me!

Adaptive CC was also very good, I was trying it out on the M1 and it worked well. It also still looks remarkably clean after the journey, my Mk 3 is filthy.

Now to dig into the manuals again, and learn a bit more!

Have any of you experienced brief audio dropouts with the Canton system? They last about 0.5 seconds every few minutes. It happens to me both on Spotify and on the radio, and there’s another forum user who’s experiencing the same issue.

What software version do you have? Thanks.

I have H10 and 2565 software. Never had an issue with a drop out on the Canton audio

It seems to be the combination of H11 hardware and 2768 software.

Another forum user is experiencing the same issue. Is there any version later than 2768? Is this updated via OTA, or does it have to be done manually? Thx

Sorry can’t help, in my market there is no OTA

H10 2630, non canton with no dropout issues.

Agreed mate, the first ones are in the dealership, the second ones wetevaftervzceramic coats had been applied by a professional! 🙂

Thank you ! The red has impressed me even more than I expected.

I had an offer I couldn’t refuse on my 75 plate Superb, the discount offered made taking the Black over significantly more expensive Red a no brainer tbo.

The cost of the extra cleaning components over 10 years will only make a small dent in the discount.

I do enjoy washing the car. Also, I have changed from a hand wash and polish to pre wash- foam wash and rinse- dry.

I’ll get the hand of it in a couple more washes and a better foam gun 🤞

I'm currently in the process of pushing the button on an Octavia vRS estate.

I'm really undecided on what colour & options to go for..

So far, I'm thinking the following colours..

Colour

Velvet Red, looks stunning. Only ever seen one in the flesh. And WOW!!

Graphite Grey, was my original choice, but I have had far to many grey cars over the last 10 yrs. A great colour for flying under the radar.

Space Violet, looks a bit different. Not seen one in the flesh, but worried with some of the dealer pics it looks a bit light & washed out. And the complete flip side, another dealer has one & this colour looks beautiful.

Winter Pack

DCC

Pan roof, unsure

Simply Clever Package Premium, simply for the boot net, when the dog is in the boot.

If you could choose again. Which options are a must & what would you avoid?

I know you don't by a vRS for fuel economy, but would be interested to hear if 35-40mpg is achievable in real world driving?
