  • I have now sourced the 1985 update package and installed successfully.  Everything seems fine but got a long journey tomorrow which will confirm its stability.  I’ll happily share it FOC over the week

Is there some info (Release Note) for this SW version? What are the main changes/improvements with respect to v.1969?

Curious to know the background to this new update, cannot find any details of its release anywhere else but this forum

I have every update from @Rainesh - never had a problem, always before my local authorized dealer could do it for me.

Hy yes I know 20€ for the file but thanks for the answer

So this must be the OTA update my service manager alluded to 2 weeks ago when I moaned about 1969 going bonkers again in France with days of boinging and dangerous ACC and non working traffic sign recognition. He said this has been an ongoing problem even in the UK for some peeps eg those on the Isle Of Wight who are a bit closer/close enough to France!

He said Skoda central had announced a definitive update was rolling out to finally fix these issues. I check the update icon in the car on every ignition 😂. We shall see whether it does sort everything at last. I don’t care for the idiot who promised early on that 1969 would make the boot up time really quick, when it didn’t. Just a stable car that becomes very stressful and dangerous to drive on foreign roads. Re-boots after a long motorway drive when the ACC has been repeatedly trying to kill you by slamming brakes on isn’t much to ask.

However since last year the costs for my official access has really increased to an absolutely crazy amount, hence why I ask a small fee. I can't do this for free anymore.

If you don't want to pay a fee, fine no problem for me.

Ok I didn't know that you provided in the past for free. So the 1941 and 1969 in this forum wasn't posted by you I guess. So someone that had the files shared it here. Some guys shared the files also on YouTube with tutorial on how to install by yourself. I don't know if 20€ is a good price or not. With 1969 I don't have problems I am only curious about Android Auto now on 1985 the scale is different so you can have the icons on the bottom now.

Since you mentioned this - I was wondering if you know is there a similar SW version for the Cupra models? Of course, I'm asking for the Formentor in my signature; the Cupra online community seems to know nothing about such an update. Is there a list of changes/fixes for this new version?

Thanks!
