Hi All,

I have downloaded ECE1 twice now and the unpacked size of the map file is 14gb.

Should it not be 6.8gb as stated?

Any help most welcome.

Probably been mis filed by VW. Not officially released so probably not quite sorted. Could try other regions if they work for you.

They are still not 6.8mb. I have found a card slightly larger and will test tomorrow. 7.31mb unpacked.

You must have a mib1 card to be worried by the size. First mib2 were 16gb then Vag became aware that with growing cartography all of Europe wouldn't fit on a 16gb card, so with about two years notice they trailed the 32gb card. Hence the story of the zones to fit on the old 16gb mib2 cards. Mib1 they were 8gb but the CID is read by either.

I guess this is a catching up release since way back when the six monthly release got delayed and missed a six month period. Now this could be the official June release caught up ?. Away on holidays. Let @MartiniB check the production dates.

Note the next post on that Ateca link says the all European link doesn't work. Needs validating whether that is the case.

Great suspect that's the November 2025 release 👍

The user @ixtra believes in a mistake by Skoda.

The data of the card manufacturers is handed over several months in advance.

At the beginning of last week, he noticed that the data had been processed.

Here, the file names were constantly changed. Since Friday, only one file has been changed.

Hence the release of @ixtra.

However, he believes that the data will be renamed to "*202545.zip" in the fall.

Yes that would be inline with the November release and ECE 2026. Normally in old naming the June release was a combination of current year and next year. Whilst the November release is named to the following year. That I seem to recall got corrupted for mib2 standard when they lost a release due to processing issues.

Hello, I got in my Scala during this mini heatwave here in the UK, the outside temperature was over 28C and the car had been in the sun so the in car temperature was into the 30s for sure. I had to go out so the AC went on and was turned down to Lo and speed/power set to Max (the AC was definitely running as the car's performance really dropped off) but after about a 40 minute journey the AC system had only got the car's inside temperature down to approx 23 degrees inside!! I last properly us

Hello, I am driving now in Greece and I have noticed while going up a mountain and lots of luggages, that the oil temperature reached 135 degrees. The coolant temperature was constant at 90 degrees. While going down hill it came down to 115 degrees but not lower. No warning light was displayed in the dashboard. I have seen before the oil temperature going as high as 120 degrees but never above. Is it normal for the oil temp to go so high? I am 1000km away from home so I am a bit worried Thanks!

Boot solenoid problem

Another issue to sort out (one of many lol). The boot on my estate stopped opening with the central locking. I can open it with the key no problem and that activates the other doors. The solenoid is working with 12v but I am only getting 3v odd at the wiring. Could this be a break in the wire or something more sinister? Cheers Vijay
