"Sorry, the file doesn't exist"

I just got a message from Google that they removed it.

The link off Prince higher up in this topic is the same.

Maybe that is working.

I am not in the neighbourhood of my computer to upload or copy the link. Sorry

Thank you!

Just in case, as my updates were done via USB stick in April, how long does it usually take for OTA updates to be available?

hello, I have a Skoda Octavia 4 fl with 13' navigation, I tried to update as it says here, but this message appearsIMG_3998.jpeg

You have MIB4 in the Facelift

You should be thankful that it threw out an Error, and you didn't brick your system.
The software on the facelift models (Octavia, Golf, Leon/Formentor) has nothing to do with the pre-facelift, since the hardware is different. Check you software information - you should have a version close to 2650. Do NOT try to install an inferior number version!
If you have annoying bugs on your system, try to discuss with the dealership. I've heard rumors about a major update for MiB4, but it's not yet released OTA.

I don't know if I'm wrong, but this is probably the version for you?

Hi to all,

Did someone expirienced after update to 1989 when Home “button” pressed that infotaiment reboots it self?

First its black screen and after 1min it starts again, but if you press again Home,it do again the same thing. As i was driving last four hours it has downloaded ota some upgrades like manual and something else, its not detailed explained on screen of infotaiment. I will check in the morning behaviour of Home pressing.

Qurious if anybody has same case?

I didnt say that rest of the functions work normal, as on 1985 version…it just has issue with hone button 😆

I know, I found out from here. I replied to jacekben76.

Is anyone having an issue with this software version where you press the HOME button and it freezes and then tries to reset the whole infotainment system?

Even after rebooting it after holding the power button down for 10-15 seconds and it restarting, the problem still happens?

Can you downgrade back to version 1985? That version was working better than 1989 for me?

Kgarv

About Home button press, it will work but half way, you have same issue as me after upgrade, its not just home button, it also has some random slowness of some pressed menus. If your infotaiment has online option running you will see that it will download something, the only benefit i see on navigation menu and trafication where croatian sentences are written correct not as before half croatian half AI

Hi. Please try to do a factory reset first. Let us know if the Home button issue is gone.

Hi tnx for solution, but i cant as i dont have second key, as it will delete user profile, i will not be able to save my new profile again.

Maybe Kgarv can try this solution.

Hope it will help💪

It’s not possible to downgrade.

To me it seems a bit suspect that a new version of software has appeared some time after the facelift. Especially as it’s only a few numbers after 1985. Hard to believe Cariad are still working on it.

Is this an official release? How was it obtained? I think I’ll stick with 1985 despite it still being imperfect

I had heard of 1989 being released for Seat models prior to this, however, pleased I didn't go ahead and upgrade given the issues it seems some are experiencing.

I reckon if there was any weight to this update, there'd be a lot more of the forum "heavyweights" behind it, as in supporting it's use etc.

For now, I'm leaving well alone....

Okay suspicious for some or not, this sw is made from skoda for skoda, if it would be some half product it would made much worse problems, 1985 was also fishy when it got out from nowhere.

After update, home pressing was restarting infotaiment, i tought maybe because it wanted to load “desktop” which has greater resolution of newer screens, because the rest of menus and function was working normal, as I use ios i didnt had any issues from three versions back with wireless carplay.

My car is online and it has in two times downloaded something, after that download, the Menu button pressing does not restarts infotaiment any more, it is just little slower in loading (in compare with 1985) but it works normal after load. So im fine with current situation :)

Well, in fact there's a catch here... the Seat/Cupra never released a 1985 version for MiB3 as Skoda did.
Instead, they released version 1988 with several months delay compared to the 1985 version of Skoda. This is making some users think that the "delayed" 1988 version of Seat/Cupra, is actually a combo of fixes/improvements included in 1985 and 1989 by Skoda.
Whether we like it or not, all brands of VAG will run a (very) similar software on their cars (using the same hardware) - it's just the release dates and the UI that are different. That's why bugs and errors are the same over the entire group for cars sharing the same systems.

Hi2all

I see that new sw brings direction info arrows on instrument cluster display, from google maps ios app when selected route is active.

Iphone with ios18. Waze does not show them, only google maps and iphone is connected to carplay wireless.

And when i change instrument cluster to be oem skoda navi screen, it has black binocular style frame, different than before, i would say it was without frame.

PS: sometimes still Home button restarts infotaiment, but not every time, 1 out of 10.

Yup, there was an update on the ios app last august. It's not due to the 1989 update.

Nice, but my car did not shown directions until now, and it never displayed apple maps on VC.

Neither now ios 18 or 26, as you can see on infotaiment apple maps on VC oem navi map.

I’m still on 1985 and i have them new directions.

Manually installed via USB, no issues, just be patient. I always factory reset the system afterwards and re-set up users. Confirmed it's official (why wouldn't it be?) as the software version was listed on a recent Service Invoice from my local dealership as installed (they hadn't), followed by a note that it's an OTA update for the end user (which never seems to arrive).
