Luke - You said these mounts were a really good help with doing 1/4 mile didn't you? I could do with a little more help.

I'll have one but it won't be until a months time. Can I put a deposit down or just order it in a couple of weeks?

Thanks for the PM Luke I hadn't looked on here today and for everyone here asking "How to?" Do a Search, it's out there I seen it wiv me eyes! :D:thumbup:

P.S. Luke I am in Cambridge this weekend how far to Jabba from there? Could "pop over" sat am if not too far. Cheers.

pps for the search: dogbone (all one word)

It's about 45 mins from Cambridge to Jabbasport, a nice easy drive along dual carriageways for most of it :)

It's a **** easy job with the car in the air. Two bolts - that's basically it. :) And even easier for me without having the engine tray to negotiate either. ;)

if its not to late

Nice looking piece of kit tbh. Wouldnt it be far cheaper and pretty much just as effective to just replace the big OEM bush with a solid poly one?? Or to do solid rubber inserts to stiffen it similar to the udder mod?

Luke :D

Roll on the friday 14th dogbone and clutch, the car should feel brand new:D

Mine will need to wait until after the CZ trip, but I have a feeling a LOT is going to be done to my car when I come back. Diff, bushes, dogbone, flywheel. Woot :woot:

If you look and see how much room there is to get the bush in, without making one to press in with a metal collar to keep it in place one with shoulders wouldnt fit in the gap!!!!

We even tryed filling the oem one with more Polyeurothane to strenthen it but it just didnt work!!!

Hence why we have had these done.

Vibra technics are probably the most well known people for engine mounts and bushes, quite simply they are the best. :D

If they happen to get involved in doing other mounts such as the engine ones, please let me know. ;)

Thanks for the enlightening answer Luke. Nice to know that you tried out some different approaches.
