Hey Ash,

It is really simple to fit,

You need to jack the front of the car up, (and hold with axel stands)

Then you need to take off the engine tray (Held on with torx screws round the outside)

Now you will be able to see the original mount, you will need to undo the 3 blots going into the gearbox (16mm)

And the one bolt at the other end of the mount that goes through the subframe. (16mm)

The mount can now be removed.

now you can repeat what you have just done to refit. :D

I would emagen it would take about 30mins to fit (if you havnt got a ramp)

If not we can fit it for you,

Hope this helps

Luke. :)

Yea i spoke to my dad about this (the person you spoke to) and i think he got a bit confused, as long as your ibiza is the same shape as the PD160 one it will fit as its the same floor pan.

I think he thought you were talking about the older one which is MK2 floorpan

So just to clarify the "same shape" is it same shape dog mount or same shaped car?

Same here, am saving up for this dog-bone mount. Might have to wait until end of November :( But could well be before then!

Currently having my fillings rattled loose (fitted on Friday, thanks to the guys at Jabbasport ;)). I think I can feel the improvement when driving, but I'm not 100% about how livable the vibrations will be long term. Admittedly they are only obtrusive when idling (although cabin noise in general is definitely up), but ten minutes stuck in a queue of traffic gives me white finger!

I'll give it a couple of weeks before deciding one way or the other. It may well be a bit to hardcore for the likes of me, we'll see.

Edit: Driving in the rain this morning was a revelation - progressive wheel-slip without bounce and without setting off the ASR!

Anyone NW/Manchester based with one of these fitted?

I have one fitted. If you go to a malt house meet your welcome to sit in on a drive, or the rolling road day coming up. Mines carmed down and is a bit crappy while sat in traffic but on the move its gr8.

Oh yes of course, my rolling road day :P Excellent idea :D

Should be up at the Malt tomorrow too

You finding the vibrations have settled down a little?

Cheers,

Steve

A hell of alot. when it was first fitting i thought what the hell did i want one of these for but now its smooth and it only vibrates everything alittle when stood at a set of lights etc.

i might be up at the malt house for an hour or so not 100% yet.

Seen one for sale on Ebay already. Bad vibes apparently - too much for the swmbo.

I'm waiting for my gearbox to go in before getting mine on - might be some time, but I have it ready and looking forward to fitting it.

The first 1000-2000 miles are/ would be hell if you are just pottering around town but when i got mine fit i went from Jabba(peterbrough to whitby-whitby-scarbrough-whiby then home to leeds, After all that it was nice and iam enjoying the benifit of it.:D

Oh, I'm well used to vibrations from my car - dealt with that for thousands of miles on those bloody FKs I had fitted. I can deal with the dogbone mount with no worries at all. :D

Some degree of vibration can be pleasurable for female passengers - add some romantic music and you're all set.......

Say 33hz on max vol :)

is that how you romanced Nikki? lol

Had mine on vagcom today and managed to up the revs a little to help with the vibes.

It's made a little difference but still bad if you sit in traffic a long time, well any amount of time actually.

Swmbo has already commented on the, ahem, romantic nature of the vibes!

Had my boss in the car a couple of times and all she says is that its very relaxing being in my car

Still only done 1100 miles so have to put up for a while longer, deffo much better to drive.

just a quick not to everyone, we still have a few of these on the shelf, so if you would like one please get in touch ASAP :D

Thanks

Luke

hmmm , thinking about it

Frustratingly mine's still in my bedroom! :grumpy: But it's my own fault as I'm waiting until the diff equipped box is fitted, and I'm not doing that until I've investigated the new clutch situation....
