lol... think i'll stay on comp a while... ;)

Nice factory, Car does sound nice

I like Fifth Gear.

Im quite a fan of Tom Ford as a journalist and it is getting better series by series...

Tiff + Veyron sideways = me still dribbling.

Stunning car.

What a car!!!

Veyron - nuff said.

Smart cars - utter waste of time and space. Pointless telly!!

They should have just dedicated the whole show to the veyron.

BTW did anyone else notice the key looks like the standard VAG item with a fancy leather cover (I need to get out more!!!) We all have a bit of Bugatti then!

Cheers

well, I don't think it was worth the hype - he wasn't really taking round a track - lke you would see in Top Gear - more like he switched off the traction contral and tried chucking it about a giant car park - all the time with the Bugatti guys watching on.

it was pant's as usual.. a decent competition prize though..

very irresponsible showing everyone where the ESP button is

Amazed; my old black one was 3 seconds quicker round CC than either the BM or the Audi, hell even my diesel was only 2 seconds per lap off the pace

Veyron, liked the bit about some people buying two :D

I thought it was great - better than a lot of Top Gear episodes from recent series

Yes the guy who made the double-decker smart IS a pillock but the rest of the show was good old fashioned car reviews.

If bugatti didnt want people to turn off the traction control they shouldn't have put a button in it to turn it off on the other hand they have hidden the button to deter people turning it off so why did Tiff tell everyone where it is?

It is a car that deserves alot of respect when driven and driver aids are put there for a reason.

I have a feeling its not covered by the official secrets act and may well be documented in the owners manual?

Just how many people do you imagine will get to drive a Veyron?

It's the ultimate performance car, (possibly) the button wasnt really hidden - maybe they couldnt be arsed making a posh button for it so popped it out of sight. If Bugatti dont want you to switch off your esp in your £900k car, they wouldnt have given you the ability to.

I just don't understand where you are coming from.

I actually thought the rest of the show was it's usual low standard. Double decker smarts...waste of time, its almost like a spoof car show.

I'd hardly say putting it under the steering column is "hiding" it...

Considering that the lever for most cars to adjust the steering rake/reach is situated near there, I'd imagine a few people might discover it, possibly even accidentally when they first get in the car and go to adjust the steering wheel!

Wouldnt that be a fun first drive after having pushed that by mistake when adjusting the steering wheel to take it away from the factory :D

I hadn't thought of that but that too is a little bit of an oversight. I know not many people are going to drive them as they are a little on the expensive side but buying a car like that is something to be cherrished and not to be taken lightly. My feelings aren't just for this car but all cars that provide the ability to turn the traction control off, driver aids are meant to help save people's lifes, why put them on a car so they can be turned off?

If you want to drive through some snow...?

There are situations where traction control doesn't cope very well and it's better to be able to turn it off. I also wonder if it's better to help people learn from their mistakes and feel the limits of the car rather than mask them so people think they are driving gods and push it further and further until their luck runs out.

Exactly. And Tiff did keep saying that the ESP wouldn't save him or the car if he were to enter a turn too quickly. Thus he was doing his health and safety message bit.

Was I the only person left feeling sea sick?

FFS what's with the amateurish camera work inside the Ace Cafe...Zoom in Zoom out shake it all about :thumbdwn:

Otherwise was ok :P

How many people who watch that show will ever have the chance to see one in the flesh let alone drive one.

All supercars are dangerous if driven too quickly anyway traction control or not. For me on a car like that I wouldn't want the controls. It should cope without them imho.

If you don't have the traction control then you have to be aware of the road and the weather to be able to drive them at any speed.

just my 2p
