There was a time could just squeeze just under 600 miles from my Mark2 TDI 170 DSG 192 miles a day 2 trips AM and PM about 4 of the miles were local or A roads.
  4. Yep, similar to me, seems to be some new quirk every week. The voice control thing randomly kicks in from time to time asking me to repeat myself when I’ve not said a word. The boot opens by itself, or stops when it’s halfway through opening. It locks and unlocks itself randomly and of course the infotainment system does whatever the hell it likes. On a weekly basis I get some sort of error message come up telling me some system or another isn’t available. I’m lucky mines a company car so I get to hand it back in a couple of years, if I’d actually shelled out my own money to buy it I’d be fuming. My wife thinks I’m a spoilt child because I’m always saying how much I hate the car, she drives a 15 year old £3k Ford Focus and I drive a £40k 2 year old Skoda and yet I prefer her car over mine. I am a spoilt child I guess, but my point is that if they put all this tech into a car then it should ****ing well work. It’s meant to make our lives easier right, and yet it doesn’t. Also, mines a hybrid VRS and it’s boring as frig to drive, it shouldn’t be badged as a VRS, it should be a Sportline or something which makes it clear it’s not actually a hot hatch. Anyway, rant over😂
  5. Since I had a really hard time gathering some popular options to be coded on my Octavia MK4 while avoiding one click apps, I figured it would be nice to post a summary of my findings so far. Some I haven't tested so please do let me know if they work. Would also appreciate if some can be added. It really sucks there is not a big list of features for this car to be coded, one click apps are too expensive. 6. Hello everyone, can you please comment under this post about any software problems, electronic issues, breakdowns, battery, and other malfunctions you've experienced with your 2025 Skoda Superb vehicles?

What sort of ranges are folks getting with their 2.0L diesel DSGs over different driving types? Just want to get a flavour for how heavy my foot might be with this new car!

Hello, I live in France and I own a Skoda Scala "Active" (very basic one but 1.6 engine) since end of 2021. I bought this car as I felt it was big enough for our family, crash test results were good and it was pretty cheap compared to other brands/models. :)

Thanks Lee01! Just posted my questions in the Scala forum, I hope some Scala owners/experts will be able to help. 🙂

    Wouldn't they just? Posted amended.
  11. Hello! Im lazy and not so handy but a need an catback system for my octy. Is it possible to buy a A3 8l quattro och TT quattro exhaust and modify after the rear axle? Both of the above have the same chassis but the have a transverse mounted rear silicener. Any ideas? /rob
  12. Don't trust vehicle compatibility on the Autodoc site - somewhat variable.... Many VAG cars use the CUNA engine and I woud think they're all built in the same plant for use all over the group.

With fairly careful driving about 600 maybe 650 if on a very long run. 2.0 TDI 140 Best MPG had been 75 doing around 50-55 for a long period.
  14. I was looking for a part for my 2016 diesel vRS over the weekend and found this site: https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/OCT/753/1 I've had a quick look this morning for your part and failed because it says "Inspection of the old part is required before ordering replacement". Looks like there may be alternatives depending on what their suppliers could come up with at the time. Perhaps they were made in Ukraine and now difficult to get?
  15. FWIW, some time ago the VC randomly activated in my car on two or three occasions. I discovered it was due to me unwittingly stroking the VC button on the wheel as I turned it. Not a bug. Since being aware of it, it's never happened again.

Hi all, New member to the forum, I have browsed before and found some of the threads very useful when diagnosing issues with my 2015 Octavia VRS. Looking forward to engaging with the helpful community. Thanks Penfold
  17. The rear wipers are just awful on the MY23 superb full stop. Changing the blade or replacing the arm with the previous part number make no difference. Don't waste your money unless it's for a Bosch blade for <£10. After a few months they will be dragging and squeeking
  18. Ok - just an update - we've solved the issue. As I suspected it was a fractured/broken wire which was causing all the issues. It's our belief that it was most probably caused by work that was done by the main dealer when changing a crankshaft sensor as the the issues started happening shortly after the car came back from them. Obviously this cannot be proven but at least we've sorted the problem. Happy days!!

Hello, welcome to the forum. You would need to integrate a voltage regulator into the supply circuit. Wouldn't it be much simpler to just clip the RC unit onto the visor?
  20. After 15 years or actually 13 because Skoda changed 2 years ago back to Brake Fluid @ 2 years and each 2 years. Cash Cow. VAQ front diffs are @2 years / 20,000. Changed from @ 3 years / 30,000 or never tell the owner. Nice if now they service the Haldex Properly and not just more often do half the job. Makes maintenance / servicing damn expensive. BUT, stuffs them up. Greedy Barstewards. Used cars, SKODA APPROVED, FMDSH, they best be selling ones 2 years old or older done to the Manufacturers Recommendations, advice, specification, guidelines.
  21. Good evening , Could someone explain why I have to keep signing in to the forum even if I leave for only 5 minutes. I really enjoy the forum but it's driving me round the bend.
  22. I presume you’ve enabled the “remember me” button in the login page? Assuming so, do you have your browser set to clear the cache every time you exit the browser or site?
  23. For anyone else with an RNS510 (or possibly RNS310/RNS315), I've been attempting to do some more digging on this. I tried simply selecting Classic FM (Inrix) in the TMC settings, but only Heart (Trafficmaster) shows up despite me being able to tune to Classic FM no problem. It's interesting that Heart still shows as a TMC-broadcasting station, despite that service being turned off. I also tried plugging in OBDEleven, to see if I could identify anything that looks similar to the coding options people have found for the MIB units. No such luck as far as I could see, though I'm not an expert - it might be that there are some bits that need to be enabled somewhere which aren't obviously labelled. If anyone with VCDS sees any options I'd love to know. I suspect this can only be resolved on the RNS unit itself however. I have RNS Manager software, which doesn't seem to have any TMC-related options. I know SetConfig is a more advanced tool but I don't have that. I do have a spare RNS510 with a minor fault or two, so I may pull the HDD out and see if I can see anything in the files which could relate to TMC - I'm hoping for a slim chance that it's like MIB, in that Inrix TMC is there ready and waiting to be used, if the unit is configured to do so. But I don't hold out much hope. I'll post back here any progress I make with the RNS510 in case anyone else with one finds this thread 🙂
  24. SEAT owner here joining in the frustration from the other side. Don't suppose anyone has found a VCDS fix for the RNS510, similar to the MIB2 fix mentioned above?
