- Yeti performance upgrades
I never felt the Yeti ever "ran out of puff" and I towed a caravan with both of mine. Are you sure it doesn't just need a service?- 1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
A leaking head gasket could cause misfire, leaking between cylinders.- Windscreen help
isopropyl alcohol, cleans well ad can even be used on vinyl records. I wipe my windscreen wiper blades quite frequently with it, as well.- Cigarette Lighter Permanently Live???
I just bought a cable for the OBD socket from Amazon, it is ignition controlled and very neat.- new messages "2 cylinder mode" and "eco"
The Eco mode, seems to be a case of a very light foot on the throttle and once the Eco light comes up just maintain the foot position? I don't seem to have a selector button.- new messages "2 cylinder mode" and "eco"
Thank you, I am surprised the dealer made no mention of either function.- new messages "2 cylinder mode" and "eco"
A couple of messages I have not noticed before they appear then go. Something about 2-cylinder mode, no one has ever mentioned this and Eco appears then fades away. Can this be the computer "dreaming" or are they actual functions.- No heating
I'm sure it was the manufacturers recommendation but the weather occasionaly begged to differ- No heating
True but we were having lower temperatures (and blizzards) than the recommended anti-freeze doses- No heating
Just a thought, we used to squeeze the bottom hose to check for a "crunch" as sometimes the antifreeze formed a "slushie" and the water would not circulate efficiently and the engine would have to be warmed up gently.- No heating
First problem I ever had in a car was the heater not working I changed the thermostat and everything was fine, just as well, I was on the mendips with frost, snow and driving winds. I fitted a radiator blanking plate (a piece of hardboard) to the bottom half of the radiatorwhich stayed there the rest of that winter.- DSG Judder / Mechatronic Issue? Please help
I love modern cars but hate the technical complicated fault finding and very expensive part swopping approach to fault finding. DSG boxes need a very good battery. Do you have a good battery, is there any dodgy wiring, loose connections? Could the judder be a cold engine pick up problem? Do new clutches need bedding in .....- Windscreen always has some kinda film stuff on it
Try the recommended screen cleaners meths leaves a residue, I have just tried the meths. Isopropyl alcohol works but I don't have enough left (doh)- Cleaning the inside of the windscreen, what to use.
Sorry mixers referred to tonic water, ginger ale or similar to mix with alcoholic drinks. My sense of humour- Cleaning the inside of the windscreen, what to use.
70% proof, what sort of mixer do you suggest? Thanks I will see what I can find locally.- Cleaning the inside of the windscreen, what to use.
Thank you all very much for your suggestions, I have some isopropyl alcohol, I will give that a try first.- Cleaning the inside of the windscreen, what to use.
I cleaned off ice and snow from the outside of my car windows but the inside of the windscreen has smears that won't come off. My screen wipe cloth is new never used before, older clothes are hand washed and rinsed in hot water (twice) any tips?- Replacing discs with brake pads
There is a measurable thickness for both pads and rotors before replacement. I'm sure someone on here will be able to supply figures.- Weird Error Message (Only Leave vehicle in Position P)
I watched a you- tube video recently where super glue and cigarette ash were used to form a replacement hinge or latch.- Climbing Performance
I had a pinky blue Clubman 2cv and later a white one I fitteda front air dam to both which helped the flat out speed to 75mph I was greatly influenced later when the Citroen Palas (?) 1300 motor was found to be a good fit. They both had the inboard disc brakes - Is it dead? Roll up, roll up, place yer bets....
