I have just returned a Usb 3.0 to 'C' cable as it was a data only cable, I now have a Charging AND Data cable capable of rapid charging.

As soon as I have started to drive over this last week, I get a notification about a software update which I cannot download while driving. I sat in the car today, ignition on, and waited for the download/instructions ..... Nothing! I am too old to bugger about with this, what am I missing? I updated my phone, (an android v13 is that significant?) but my system only offers me my old android phone and a mysterious "Tom's i-Phone" how do I get rid of the old phones, please. I also need to install the newer version of Android Auto, Is there no end to this high tech. torture?

I met a lady with a similar problem, but I realised she had locked the car as she got out (an automatic reaction for many people) so the flap would not open. This is not necessarily what happened to thommo41.

You don't mention your car model. If your mirrors are electically controlled your rotary control switch should have a position at around 7 o'clock to fold in your mirrors. *Sorry you do say they are motorised

I was approaching a roundabout intending to go straight on (2nd exit) when I noticed another car moving at speed toward me with its L/H indicator going. I slowed down and decided to stop. The other car barely paused and crossed in front of me and this red icon came on momentarily. I was stationary with my foot firmly on the brake. This may sound slow but the incident was really over in seconds. Why the icon?

I thought the Kamiq would make a nice EV, sizewise. I would like to see how EV's survive high and low speed collisions something that has not appeared in the press, as far as I'm aware.

I used an SD 64 card (size of this card may affect operation) and downloaded music as MP3s no problem. Some larger SD cards used to give problems.

I bought a Hula girl many years ago for my dashboard but her ankles 😃 have developed a set and she cannot adapt to the angle of the Kamiq

I gave them to a family who had locked themselves out of their car and they were waiting in heavy rain for a rescue service to arrive. I usually carry a couple of ponchos or space blankets, you never know when they will come in handy. I have never been a boy scout but I was a first aider for 30years.

I had a reluctant washer jet and thoroughly cleaned out all the pipes washer bottles with hand hot water, I refilled with a quality screen wash and stuck with it, (no chopping and changing) no more problems.

The MXS 5 is probably the most useful as it has a higher charge rate. As you have noticed they are pricy! so it pays to really shop around Amazon is fairly good but shop around. The most used accessory is the (cigarette lighter) power socket adapter lead.

I had not seen a battery low warning with any of my Skodas before, excluding a problem where stuff started to turn off while in a traffic queue!! No actual warning though. It is on overnight charge with a C-Tec. I must drive further more frequently to keep it in a better charge state.

I think it depends on how much charge your phone tries to take as a rapid charge. Sometimes the cable is not man enough to carry such a demand.
