  1. Soil Association "Organic" anything is is a marketing racket so they can charge rich eejits more for $product. I mean, when you get products marked as "Organic oxygen dihyride", which is emphatically 100% not an organic chemical...
  2. And the middle position is "on when doors open". If that is staying off, there's something wrong with either that 3 position switch or all of the door switches. And you now need an auto electrician with access to the car.
  3. Switch is in "off" position rather than "on when doors open"?
  4. Without using a reference, can you tell me the engine code for your car? I don't know the code for mine by heart.
  5. Flat battery, but for once not a failure in the alternator control wires since the battery light has illuminated.
  6. In this context, when it's worked, local has meant "sufferer lives within about 4 miles of the hives" IME.
  7. The glass is very clean the glass is very greasy the wiper isn't aligned properly to the glass the wiper is a cheap Chinese one and not a proper Bosch or OEM one the wiper arm spring is weak
  8. Well, ignore it then unless you're sufficiently OCD to spend out on a service tool just to cancel the alert.
  9. Well, that definitely points to a slow warm up caused by a stuck open thermostat. On mine (TDi 110) I have a good Climatronic, and gauge reading 90C after ~5 miles (50 to 55 mph cruise in NSL).
  10. And how good is the heater/Climatronic in your car? I'm fairly sure the issue is one of 2 things, but this is a good point as to which.
  11. @Gaz @mac11irl Ok, make that ' "I ordered Epson XP-8600 compatible cartridges", but that was not what was shipped based on the photograph'. Even slightly out cartridges can <censored> up not just printing but any scanning and/or copying functions the unit has.
  12. No you didn't based on your photograph.
  13. OEM lock nuts are only sold in sets of 4, one for each wheel. The set also comes with a key. I know this because when I bought mine it had lock nuts but no key.
  14. Why? No, really, why? The crash bar on the Octy 1 is completely covered by the bumper moulding.
  15. Unlikely. Can you stand being without a car for 2 weeks this time of year, and are you not getting a better deal for buying a car in a "dead month"?
  16. More nonsense from @J.R.! The OP is in Ireland, so has to follow NCT rules , not UK MoT rules or French Control Technique rules.
  17. Well, this is my first post in this thread, and even even it's just to say that it wasn't me earlier.
  18. No idea. It would help if you listed all permanent consumers fitted to this vehicle, things like PratNav, dash cams, alarm systems, stereos where you rely on the ignition switch...
  19. So why do you think you need to change the oil pump? Check the oil level. If that's fine, suspect a partially blocked pick-up.
  20. You said it; there's still a good 10_000 miles on the pads, but with that rust the discs are goosed. Also, from my experience, painted bells won't help after a year or so.
  21. Yes, but which way is the wear? Angular or axial?
  22. Well, anything I've driven with an immobiliser and fuel injection, the immo blocked the starter motor and/or the injection system.
  23. Not to all the muttering rotters who talk at great length about how marvellous the 62" touch screen in the Thripps Thunderclap Mk 27 is!
  24. "Help" is a 1965 song by The Beatles. More seriously, it's likely that the individual bulbs have blown.
