  1. You could try flexing your right ankle more gently at low speed, or even switching the traction control back on.
  2. EPC

@Tanya only ever made 2 posts, that one and one other somewhere else.
  3. Just there usually, and even then you may be "lucky" and one of them's just pulled off the terminal.
  4. Most odd indeed, because the engine sounded to be turning over, and at a reasonable speed too.
  5. Lasting how long? I mean, for me a motorway toilet stop normally takes about 15 minutes from park car through visit toilet and shop to leaving car park.
  6. No idea, since you haven't said which engine you have. It's not impossible for an oil pump change to start "drop the sump..."
  7. Yes. I think it may well be a symptom in that it was knocked loose by the rough running rather than the cause of same. Beyond that, I think you may well need a fault code to diagnose the actual issue. Kudos on including everything else though.
  8. That makes me think of the alternator control wires as @Wino cites.
  9. NightBreakers, all night long.
  10. Could well be glow plugs then; maybe try a resistance test.
  11. I normally drive at 70ish mph where legal, and regularly get overtaken (mostly by Audiots and/or SUVs).
  12. Maybe? Does it blow white smoke that smells of diesel on a cold start?
  13. Exactly, so you can overtake a 55mph CLOGie on the inside quite legally.
  14. Genuine OAT should be pink or orange. A cheap hygrometer will let you check the percentage.
  15. You mean the fan speed control? If so, then it's behind the temperature knob.
  16. In theory, yes, but in practice if this is an issue the car will start no problems with the clutch disengaged.
  17. Can you point to the statutory instrument in which overtaking on the LHS of a vehicle in an outer lane is banned?
  18. Very probably. Mostly because that sort of fault list looks like a battery not charging. Does the battery light appear when you switch the ignition on, but haven't started the engone?
  19. How long have you got? There is an entire subforum on issues (mostly electronics) with the Octy IV, and a subset of issues that may apply relating to any of the other current models as well. To summarise, people have issues with the infotainment, PratNav, and so-called "driver aids" such as "Lane Enforce".
  20. I thought that might be the case, but didn't want to mislead you.
  21. This is "timed" on oil condition and type of driving. If you've been doing lots of short trips then the oil will "wear" faster than if you were doing, say, 150 mile motorway tags at ~70mph. Knowing the mileage since the last service would help here.
  22. You're confusing 2 different things here. An octane rating is a measure of how well the fuel resists pre-ignition when compared with 100% straight chain octane. E10 is a warning that the fuel may contain up to 10% ethanol (but doesn't have to do so). You could get a 99 RON and E10 fuel.
