  1. Well, before I tell you to lower the pressures, is there any mention of "eco" tyre pressures, or any evidence that tyre centre wear is higher than edge wear? (you may need to use a tread depth gauge to check this)
  2. Ok, it's not what I first thought of (but if it had been there'd be no fault code to find). Next idea - does the car have one or more of "brake assist", a hill hold system and an electronic "hand" brake?
  3. Those seem like very high pressures for that size tyre.
  4. Does it release itself with a crack sound? Does it tend to happen when it's been raining overnight? I've got a possible idea if these conditions are met.
  5. At worst I can tell you how to investigate the idea. When the engine will spin over but not fire, remove the spark plugs and look for oil on the electrodes.
  6. NOW you tell us about the oil fouling!! That will definitely put the sparks out.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ck9dDY9JxfQ Well yes actually
  8. I specifically don't want to try Easy Start (other brands are available) until we know we've got sparks and fuel at all cylinders.
  9. Oversteery, particularly on snow or ice (and they do happen in Glasgow).
  10. @Joob - It sounds like it's cranking over fine but not even trying to fire, so fundamentals:- Do you have a spark at all 4 plugs? Do you have fuel at each injector?
  11. Have you also tried Koni and Gaz Shocks?
  12. It would have irritated you more if you'd got a fail because brand new tyres still had mould agents on them so the brakes didn't work right.
  13. Well, the mechanical self-servo action only works going forwards.
  14. That's the Indian market name for the Octavia mk2, isn't it?
  15. 7.5 * 25.4 / 235 = 81%. You're good.
  16. Yes. Not sure about Ireland, but in the UK a battery check is normally free conditional on you buying the new one from the testing firm.
  17. Cite needed. I'm presently sat in a bay window overlooking a main route between a housing scheme and the local town centre, and in and out of Glasgow 3 days a week. I'm yet to see an EV (and few PHEVs) on taxi or private hire work.
  18. Deep load test on the battery, check the exterior temperature sensor reads sensible values for Dublin.
  19. Well, you could try loosening the mast on the base, and giving it a fix of Water Displacement-40...
  20. Well, it is a fairly small engine, and IME those need to be spinning a bit faster before a gear change. Even my 1.9D needs babying to take a 1-2 upshift at idle revs.
  21. Not a car, but a building on a Personchester trading estate?
  22. If I might offer a hint, keep the Up! shell and wiring until you've got the motor running in the CityGone...
  23. Well, if it wasn't connected, it wouldn't display any location, even a wrong one! Based on this, I suspect you may have got a drop or two of water into the aerial base.
  24. In other words, not a Skoda dealer, so they can call the badge colour schwartzweiss (blackwhite) with equally much or little meaning.
  25. This looks a lot like the transfer box from a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, and more so with the neons!
