  1. They look fine as mine has the Skoda ones fitted. Here is my car fitted with them. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=468496240951509&id=100033734115724&sfnsn=scwspmo
  2. @SashaGrace can fit and code in a camera for you. If you don't have the Canton system they are excellent speakers to fit. The Canton tweeters don't have capacitors in them as the frequency cut off is controlled by the amplifier through software on the oe system. You can easily solder in capacitors to limit the lower frequencies playing through the tweeter. You can also code in Skoda surround which is a sort of bass booster.
  3. I purchased the Golf Haynes manual as they are basically the same car.
  4. I'd try Koni Special Actives. They are a move on from the FSD dampers. Had them on my mk1 Fabia VRS with Eibach springs and they were spot on. Very compliant over bumpy roads but firmed up under cornering and braking.
  5. It might be easier to install better dampers and springs matched to your car.
  6. When extracting does it show just one master folder on the sd card or has it copied all the contents of the main folder? I had this issue when updating, so I opened the main folder and copied the contents of the folder to the SD card and it worked.
  7. I own a diesel and if you are only doing 10k I would go petrol. I went diesel as although I don12 miles a day round trip to and from work. I have family that live 150 miles away so I commute very regularly and diesel worked out cheaper for my mileage. I'd love to have petrol. Petrol manual will be the best for economy between dsg and manual. But dsg is a more relaxing drive. So I have dsg and diesel 😃
  8. Best thing to do is get a load test done. That will tell you if it is the battery or alternator.
  9. Did a basic reset. These ones are easier to do as the ecu does the reset within defined parameters already stored in the programme. The older engines you had to input the min/max voltage to adapt and make them work.
  10. I was holidaying in Cornwall last week and it wasn't very successful. Spent most of it going to urgent care centres and hospital with my poorly 2.5 year old daughter who took ill whilst there. Whilst I was sat in the car park of Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro for 5 hours (because I couldn't go in with my wife due to covid rules). I got very very bored and was worried about my daughter. So I plugged in OBDELEVEN to have a look at my car to distract myself. Anyhow I adapted the EGR valves, low pressure and the main. I was surprised at the difference it made to the engine. On the initial drive afterwards it was a little rough through adapting but it suddenly came to life. The engine feels stronger than it did, smoother and also the mpgs are sat at 50mpg where it used to be around 44-45mpg for town driving. Also the mpgs seem more stable. Now I am not saying everyone go and adapt your egrs but I am sharing my experience. It helped distract me doing something whilst waiting to find out about my daughter and was quite a surprise to see how better the engine runs now. Makes me wonder if it was adapted properly from the off or if the egr needs adapting every now and then.
  11. Unless you go to the Dark dark side of diesel 👹
  12. Mine has gone up £1000 in value since I first checked. Though I won't sell it just yet as I have haggled with my finance provider and now only pay £160 a month for it. £185 if you include tax and insurance, so I would be daft to get rid when I still enjoy the car.
  13. You don't know the power of the Dark Side 🤣
  14. Have you had the refrigerant changed recently? Also what pressure is shown on the compressor as you may be low on refrigerant.
  15. If looking for a nice car I would search on auto trader. Have you considered a Superb? I have been looking at the Superb Laurin & Klement as they have everything you need and loads more than an Octavia.
  16. Does it do it when set to manual mode?
  17. Or do what I do. Drive even slower
  18. With any diesel I have always let it idle for about 30 seconds before driving off. That way it allows the oil to get around the engine and my dsg to get up to pressure. The same for when stopping. I allow it to run for 30 seconds to allow the turbocharger internals to slow spinning.
  19. I have Goodyear Asyn5s fitted to my 19s and always thought they were soft and not too bumpy. Perhaps you could also look at better dampers that absorb the shock better.
  20. @pab567 will be able to help with the software update.
  21. On the plus side at least they have an exhaust sound unlike the Octavia sadly. They do sound nice as you can hear the turbo spooling and are great fun to drive.
  22. My wife had a mini cooper s convertible and it was great fun. She now has a Cooper Clubman and in fairness for a 1.5 turbo 140bhp, it is nippy. Though I do remind her it is actually a BMW and she still has to use the indicators and lane 1.
  23. Depending on how old your children are I would get a Abarth 595. They are huge fun to drive, handle brilliantly and sound good too.
  24. The brakes are single piston type design. However if you have the pre face lift TDI like mine you will have the 340mm disks fitted. On the face lift they fitted the 312mm disks. In fairness they are more than enough for the car and worked perfectly well on my mk2 with 280bhp.
  25. My best guess would be low refrigerant and it needing a top up. Quite common if the air con hasn't been used a lot. I got mine changed for £50 at Kwik Fit and works perfectly. If you have vcds or obdeleven you can see what pressures are bring put out by the Compressor. That will tell you if the refrigerant is low or not. Also if there are any fault codes etc.
