Steering wheel
Did you not see the note at bottom of the link? for fabia mk2 pre facelift? that was for models 2007 to 2010 so looks like if your car is 2014 it's not the correct steering wheel for your car

Droning noise from a rear wheel
Droning noise 99% wheel bearing, tyre out of round more like a bumping sound, try the spare see if it changes, you have to replace the whole hub bought a pair of hubs from ebay good quality german make £80 the pair, remember to loosen and pull back the abs sensor before removing hub otherwise you will be spending more money on replacement sensors, when i changed mine i had to use a puller to get the old bearing ring off the stub axle but every thing else was straight forward, if changing hubs good time to change brake shoes if you have drums much easier to get at

Catalytic converter?
Who has deemed the cat is no good ? my old Fabia had the original cat for11 years and still was ok until car was written off after an accident, if you need a price for a cat try Bosal online exhaust, it was the only place i could find a replacement exhaust as most motor factors could not get the right bits for the estate model, price wise they were very good if i remember the cat for my mk2 Fabia diesel was just under £300 and the rest of the exhaust with clamps and brackets was £154 but that did not include any fitting which i did myself

SKODA FABIA MK2 WASHER FLUID HELP
You need to remove front left wheel take out screws that hold wheel liner out remove screws that hold the plastic protection plate to the underside of the bumper and the inner wing part of the car, you can then bend down the plastic panel and take a look inside where the washer bottle is located, some times the pipe has just come off or split but mostly the pipe connection to the pump has snapped off and then you have to remove the whole unit or wangle it to a position where you can remove the pump to replace it, shop around as a new pump can cost around £50, so hope it's just a pipe off or broken, can be joined with a new pipe and a straight connection

Brake Calliper Holder Advice
Is it the bolt that goes into the slide part of the carrier or the bolt that holds the carrier onto the hub?, if it's the slide pin socket you can get a replacement pin/socket but they will tell you that it's part of the carrier (around £50 on the bay) a used one is ok to replace this bit if it's the thread in the hub you can get it fixed by using a helli-coil insert which does not require a bigger bolt or different thread as you have to use a hardened bolt for this job the last time my mate lost his bolt after a certain garage changed the pads i used an allen- cap bolt until he could get a new one

Exhaust system
My back exhaust went after 9 years of use but when i went to change it they were quoting for pipe as well due to to rust , but they wanted to fit a twin pipe exhaust back box and bodge up some hanging brackets as they could not get the correct single pipe exhaust back box that was on the car, dealers would not sell me the system they wanted to fit it but i found a Bosal exhaust catalogue online had all the parts brackets gaskets clamps etc and numbers and found prices online with delivery if i remember i had a front pipe £27 a connecting pipe £32 and a single pipe outlet exhaust £59 and fitted it myself I was quoted around £450 from dealership and £200 from motor factors but the only showed the twin pipe exhaust which looked like a square and had different locating hangers than my car, give it a try might give you an idea

Skoda Fabia is pulling Left, shoulder pain started
The lighter coloured part is alloy and that's the part that was cracked where the bush was located, the other part iss pressed steel as i said the original bush is not solid and moves and splits after a few years (3 in my case) these were replaced along with the whole alloy mount and sorted the pulling left issue out, a garage friend has also mentioned that they have had issues with Lucas fitted calipers on the left side with sticky pistons that are effecting the car pulling it to the left, he told me that if you look at the left wheel does it look like more brake dust on the left wheel than the right side, if so the caliper could be the issue and might need replacing or or servicing--new piston and seal kit, worth a look at it

Skoda Fabia is pulling Left, shoulder pain started
My 2008 Fabia mk2 used to slightly pull to the left when we purchased it new so kept taking it back to dealers we had suspension changed under warranty and new tyres but still it pulled to the left, was told that there was nothing wrong with the car it was just like that it was normal, at the first MOT the bottom wishbone bush had broken and the alloy housing had a crack in it, tried to get dealers to replace under warranty but they said normal wear and tear and not covered and was looking at a bill of around £559 to replace alloy casting and bushes Here's the amusing bit had a new casting nearside and had SEAT Cupra solid rubber bushes fitted to both sides , Skoda bush around £15 Seat bush around £50, straight away after £250 paid at a friendly garage car handled much better and No Pulling To The Left, also those bushes lasted until the car was written off in 2019 money well spent i think

Bonnet release cable
Don't know if this will help but when i changed mine on my MK2 i cut the old lever part off inside the car used some strong steel wire and tape and attached the nipple end of the new cable to the cut cable of the old one inside the car then removed the rubber under the bonnet in the fire wall and pulled the old cable out while a friend fed the cable from inside the car this worked for me a bit of a fiddle but better than trying to take out aor bag

Service interval
In one word no if you check Skoda UK it states 12 months or 20.000 miles which ever comes first, you could loose your warranty by skipping this service, we just booked our 2019 Fabia in for it's second service oil filter. oil and pollen filter even though we have only done 9000 miles in 2 years, just a tip shop around and try and find an independent Skoda service garage as we were quoted for the second service an eye watering £373.26 just for oil filter oil and pollen filter, we found another garage that was Skoda service registered and same work cost us £225.79 still a bit expensive in terms of work carried out but a lot cheaper and keeps warranty up to date, next year I'll be doing this work myself so will only cost the parts a lot cheaper again

2010 1.9tdi ABS Sensor issue
Had this on my old Fabia 2 and it was two things that caused the issue firstly the raised segments on the drive shat were rusty and sensor could not pick up correctly, a clean with a small file and some WD40 sorted this issue out, make sure you cover drive shaft rubber as would make the rubber boot swell, the second issue was the connection on the ABS connection looked clean but like most VW/ Skoda connections the female ends had pushed back into the connection so was not making a solid connection when fitting together I managed to push female ends slightly more and held the back part of connector with the wires while pushing the connection back together , I also used some petroleum jelly on connections to keep them good and free from corrosion and wet after doing this no ABS light Also a friend had this sort of issue after having a front drive shaft boot changed and turned out to be the sensor damaged when bearing was changed

Spare tyre for 2014 Mk2 105BHP TDI 195/55/15 - will a full size and jack fit?
Steel wheel spare as supplied with our new Fabia mk2 with alloy wheels was a 185/55/15 no special wheels nuts needed, fis into boot recess you might just have to make a wing nut bolt just to stop wheel moving around and rattling as ours came with a large plastic top spinner bolt and jack carrier wheel fits in upside down

rear brakes has started to sqeak
Most common issues with rear brake squeak/squeal are dust in the drums, no grease on backplate where shoes rest, weak hold down springs and weak return springs, these should be replaced when changing the shoes, just a note Bosch do a set of shoes for the Fabia and they are around £25 a set but are bonded shoes not riveted as original but just as good for wear

MK III Fabia Service Cost
Yes my friend when i contacted the service manager about the cost and how it was double for the price for a oil and filter change he tried to make out that the pollen filter was a tricky job and it added labour time to the cost, that's why i then cancelled the service as i told him he did not know his backside from his elbow as it takes all of 5mins to change pollen filter the hardest part is paying for it you just slide 2 clips to the middle of bracket and pull down, how many people who don't know believe this rubbish why do they think they are so clever spouting lies i do not know, I have now found a Skoda dealership that will do the work and update the service for £249 still expensive for what's being done but keeps warranty intact, I always check my tyres and brakes+ steering every year for any problems I worked for many years serving cars but pulled out due to pressures to cut corners and charge for work not done then try to blame fitters for bad work when it went wrong,.
-
MK III Fabia Service Cost
Further update from Skoda uk the price on servicing that's quoted on the internet is for cars 3 years and older this pricing does not apply to cars over 1 year old and under 3 years old, but i could not see this in the small print another reason not to trust dealerships
-
MK III Fabia Service Cost
Yep that's all the work that was detailed in the quote, rang them up and they insisted the price was correct but i told them to cancel the service as I'm not paying double for an oil and filter service just because the car is a year older, i have always serviced my own car, and yes car has a 50-100 mile run at least once a week and motorway drive included and have always used genuine spares when servicing for many years, our last Fabia MK II 2008 was written off in 2019 that's why we changed the car and only had a 2nd year service on that model I just took over doing it from then on due to filters not checked and changed air filter was so dirty it was nearly black but was not checked or changed after 2 years yet i got charged for a diesel injector flush and clean HA HA so put me right off dealership servicing, have always used good oil and genuine spares so looks like I'll start this car servicing myself a little earlier but keep all parts bill

MK III Fabia Service Cost
Just had a quote from local dealership for my 2nd year service, oil ,oil filer pollen filter and inspection total cost £373.26 WTF ??? on Skoda website oil and filter £185 plus pollen filter £35 with inspection no brake fluid change or any thing else car is a MK III 1.0 TSI with 9000 miles from new, had oil and filer changed last year with inspection and cost £140 how come such a big jump in cost for same service plus cost of pollen filter

I need help
Did the light come on after you gave the car a bit of a blast? if so one of the most common issues that turns light on but does not show on codes is the air pipe going into manifold from turbo inter-cooler, it some times blows past air under pressure sending out a fault but then corrects itself once turned off and started again, check the tightness of all clips on the pipes and if they are sealing correctly before going any further, also came across this after a mate changed air filter and pipe was missing rubber seal causing a pressure leak under higher boost, worth a look

Fuse 26 blows when washer operates
Washer pump sounds as it's jammed or broken, when you go to use it the pump it overloads and blows fuse, rather expensive item around £50 last time i replaced one, had to remove wing liner passenger side and bend down covers under bumper, book says you need to remove front bumper as well but managed to get at pump to replace it by removing wheel and bending down plastics and removing liner, the pump corroded mainly because people just use water

2013 Monte TDI - mysterious steering wheel wobble (205/45 R17)
Bought a used Fabia MK3 2 months old with 1500 miles on the clock ex demo, after about 5 months running we had this issue with steering vibrating around 60-70mph as you said tried tracking tyres and even tried 2 different wheels and tyres off another model same size but still vibrating, after many returns to the dealers they decided to change the front discs calipers and carriers this did sort the vibration out and now runs smooth but could not find out which one of these items was the fault. The only other thing i noticed before they changed the brakes was if travelling on a straight road and then braking quite hard to say approach a roundabout there was a funny noise while braking like the noise of a wheel bearing starting to fail but would stop if you braked harder or eased off the brake, was not the ABS i was going to check disc throw out but as car was so new thought they should sort this out hope you can sort it all the best
-
Engine
Ah so simple just buy a 1.6 TDI they say then you start having issues with the DPF around £900 to get sorted then you start having issues with injectors another bottom less pit--- just look for a good used 1.9 TDI with the PD engine 40-50 mpg every day use 60-70 mpg motorway use only known issues sticky turbo vanes from not getting a regular blast out no dpf issues as not fitted does have a cat but they do last many years

Replacing front and rear discs & pads, part numbers needed please
You will require your Production code to find out exactly the discs for the front as there are 2 sizes listed 239mm and 256mm the rear discs and pads are the same for all the range in these models, there are also different pads depending on disc size if you use a laptop or pc download Textar brake book and you will see all models and pads discs drums brake shoes fitting kits etc for most models, I have used these before to check and buy pads etc online and the discs come with the coating as per genuine VW/Skoda parts but a lot cheaper

Strange clicking noise
Not hearing the noise is a bit of a disadvantage but can be a few things to check, most common noise on pressing brake pedal when going backwards are the disc pads in the caliper moving position but usually more of a clunk as mostly people do not replace pad springs when changing pads, front drag links could be worn or torsion bar rubbers but then again more of a clunk and you would hear them going forward on a bumpy road, front coil springs are known to crack right at the top just as they locate to the wing but again more of a clunk than click the only other thing i can think of is the front right top engine mount as the bolts in mine were loose and once retightened noise then stopped,----- Ha also remember that the wishbone rubber mount bush had started to fail and this made a clicking noise when applying the brake it was still in one piece but the side rubber had collapsed causing this strange clicking noise, i landed up changing them for Seat Cupra wishbone bushes a solid bush much better handling and lasted many years compared to the slotted design of the Fabia bush a bit more expensive but cheaper in the long run if you have to pay for labour charges

using a different sized spare wheel (for short distances)?
Although rim size is 15 inch your tyre that you have fitted on the spare is ok because the profile (55) makes the tyre when fitted to the 15 inch rim makes it the same car height with the lower profile of the other rims/tyres, this is common with the MK III cars with a spare, the standard spare size is 185/55/15 and carries a yellow sticker for 50mph this is for the handling of the car not the tyre as it's a normal size tyre unlike other thin get you home wheels so you can leave the rim on to suit yourself just doesn't look very good, i did try one of the 17 rims in the spare wheel in the rear but would not fit in properly and not secure down so can see why they use the smaller sized tyre and rim

ABS sensor ring - rear hub
Yes the rear hub needs to be changed, watch which hubs you buy as some are advertised as fitting the rear on the Fabia but are not ABS hubs, some are ok but are poor quality bearings and fail after a few months, I bought replacement rear hubs with new caps and nuts from Germany on ebay they were around £95 for the pair but lasted 3 years but we sold the car so don't know if they are still going strong, easy job to do but remember to pull sensor out a bit from the backplate before removing the hub and putting new one on as you WILL damage the sensor if left in place
