Daylight Driving Lights
It's odd that you have the DRL option in the maxidot but they don't work and there is no bulb warning.... Anyway, it should be pretty obvious if the bubs are fitted on a 2010 Superb. Take a look at the fog/DRL units in the front bumper. If you can only see one bulb per side, you only have fogs, if you have two bulbs per side, it should be possible to enable DRL Have you got any diagnostic equipment like VCDS? If not, I might be able to help as I'm in Cambridge most weeks.

No "Station logos:" button in Bolero
Excellent, you should be able to save that logo and add it to your headunit

What goes here? (dashboard question)
At a guess, it'll be a headlight range adjustment for lower spec cars with halogen headlights. It won't do anything on a car with xenon or LED headlights

Octavia ABS Control Module Issue
1K0 907 379 P looks to be a MK70 series ABS pump so it's coding is pretty simple. If you can't retrieve it's coding, you can reuse the coding from another similar vehicle as there is nothing VIN specific included. VCDS probably has a helper too 1K0 907 379 K looks to be a MK60 series ABS pump so it's not a direct swap. You'll need to change the mounting bracket, connector, parts of the wiring and come up with a suitable coding to get it working...

VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
I've never seen anything like that before, every xml I've used has been a single file I'd expect ODIS to refuse it if it doesn't like the format but it certainly a risk to try it.

VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
I would expect thee bootlid module it to need a parameter file after the update but I've never tried such an update Did you find the TSB/TPI to go with the flash file you used? That should give some clues as to what's needed after the flash. Any fault codes?

Do I have a fake?
Functionally? Probably not much, Morally? Massively... Carista, OBDeleven, Ross-tech and VCP are creating, updating and supporting their own product. It takes money and resource to keep these things working as VAG change protocols/modules. When buying a genuine version of any of these tools, you're effectively helping that company survive, profit and continue supporting/developing their product in to the future. When genuine, I don't mind which interface people use, they all have pros/cons. A cloned version is someone stealing the hard-work and investment that one of these companies have made, reproducing and then selling it for their own profit. That's where the difference lies. Even more so when they claim their cloned version is genuine as they did with you Ross-tech and others have certainly have done lots of reverse engineering to understand the VAG protocols, I'm not sure if they have any insider knowledge or have purchased an official dealer tool to figure it out. I expect the latter as they tend to play catch up and the next VCDS version will add support for newer vehicles. I certainly wouldn't class it as a 'hacker' product. I believe that some 3rd party diagnostic companies have used Ross-techs label files in the past which is why they are now encrypted. I'm not sure if Carista, OBDeleven or VCP have ever been accused of this but I expect there will always be a degree of copying and reverse engineering between these companies. It's always easier to copy... You also need to remember that VCDS is primarily a diagnostic tool, the fact we can change coding and adaptions which makes enabling various hidden features or retrofits possible is pure luck As you may have seen, VAG are introducing ways to prevent any none-dealer tool from changing things with SFD tokens. Hopefully Ross-tech can come up with a solution to this, I know other companies are although they are of questionable legality and my be short lived. That I agree with completely The one touch functions are terrible in my opinion and destined to mess up many cars given the lack of checks! A well written set of instructions are much better, if nothing else, it should be clear when something isn't matching which is a sign to stop

Start/stop too quick to activate.
Not on a MK3 Octavia, the BCM is very different and there are no numbered adaption channels so 34 won't exist

Do I have a fake?
That's 100% a fake, it's one of the 'better' fakes but it's definitely not genuine This is what my genuine looks like: And mine appears identical to another genuine one shown here:

Do I have a fake?
As far as I'm aware, it's not currently possible to bypass the VIN restriction on genuine cables. It's only possible on non-genuine cables If you really want to know, grab a T10 screwdriver and open it up. Add a picture of the PCB from both sides and I'll dig my genuine one out to compare it to

Do I have a fake?
If its been sold as a genuine interface and Rosstech say it isn't, I'd send it back. The laptop looks like a Dell Latitude E4200 which is about 10-13 years old now and probably only worth £30-40. Given you've paid a decent chunk of money, I'd expect to get what you actually paid for rather than a knock-off. It doesn't really matter if it's a fake or if it's a interface that's been messed with, you expected and paid for a genuine legit interface with future upgradability and that's not what you've been sent. It might work for the moment but future releases of VCDS might not work. Unfortunately for Rosstech, the clones are getting much harder to spot these days.

VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
Nope 😉 Adaptation channels are adjustable using VCDS, ODIS, VCP and OBDeleven. It's down to the module software and coding to what adaptation channels are available. The dataset/parameters are not 'adjustable'. ODIS or VCP are directly changing a section of EEPROM in the module. The XML or ZDC file contain the data, where it needs to be written, checksums to verify the data and any security codes to unlock the module to write it. They are distinct and separate from each other 👍 If Rosstech wanted, they could add the ability to write datasets. I doubt they will as the only 'true' source for them is the VAG servers via ODIS with a subscription etc... Edit: If you want to get an idea how some datasets are constructed, take a look at: - https://skodapilot.com/rdkseditor/?lang=en - https://github.com/jilleb/MQB-FPA The first link is for direct TPMS modules, they are quite well understood so custom datasets are possible. This means that you can create a dataset containing the correct tyre sizes/pressures for any vehicle rather than relaying on VAG datasets. If you create a few datasets then compare them in a hexeditor, you'll soon see how these datasets work. The second links is an ongoing project to reverse engineer the CAN-gateway dataset. Although some parts are now understood, plenty isn't. As I already had the dataset for my CAN gateway, I used the info to make the 'vRS' button only light up in 'sport' rather than all modes apart from 'normal' Other modules will have different formats which are likely to be unique to the module and software version...

Do I have a fake?
A 3-vin HEX-v2 on it's own is almost that price! I'd send it back and get a refund
-
Do I have a fake?
As above, if rosstech say it's a fake, then it will be. They make them and have numerous ways to check. Unfortunately there are loads of fakes around. A genuine hex-v2 with unlimited vins is probably worth around £400 but I don't think they sell it with unlimited vins. Instead, a 10-vin is around £300 and a 3-vin is around £225. Either are upgradable to unlimited vins 👍

Skoda SuperB Facelift MY 2020 Coding List and Adaption
Welcome @Ronal Can you add an autoscan from VCDS and ideally an adaption map from 5F? Without knowing what modules your car has, it's hard to offer advice

Change steering wheel to something nicer... ?
A MK2 FL Octavia, MK2 FL Superb and FL Yeti are very similar electronically. The steering wheel from either the MK2 FL Superb or FL Yeti should be fine in a MK2 FL Octavia. No idea about the diameter, it didn't feel noticeably larger or smaller to me.

Where is the online handbook?
You can get the owners manual from here: https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-GB/models For a mid 2017 model, try this: https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-GB/Detail?model=Superb_3V&edition=05-2017&market=&manualLang=en

Skoda superb MkIII rear view mirror issue
Got any pictures? The rear view mirror mount is normally attached to the windscreen by the manufacturer so it really shouldn't drop off the glass. If the rear view mirror has dropped off the mount, you might be able to reattach it.

Replacement for non-functioning Amundsen
On a Sept 2015 car you probably have a MIB style Amundsen which looks like this: If so, @pab567 might have some ideas about repairing it. You can buy a used one but it'll need a dealer to sort out component protection (anti-theft) and a few other bits after fitting it. The other option is a 'hacked' unit which has component protection disabled and can be fitted without a dealer although it might need coding afterwards

Would those rims fit on my octavia?
As above, my vRS came with factory fitted 19" wheels so they definitely fit There are called the xtreme and have the following spec: - 7,5J x 19" - ET51 - 5x112 PCD - 57.1 centre bore Which are normally fitted with a 225/35 R19 tyre if I remember correctly
