  1. You can access the manual online here: https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-GB/Detail?model=Fabia_NJ&edition=05-2016&market=&manualLang=en At a guess, you need to press the unlock button twice to open all doors
  2. I think most people tend to do A. I'd probably do C using the handbrake - it's no less secure than a manual car Pretty sure B is considered a bad plan...
  3. Seems like a plan The only thing I'd add is when you want to try the Amundsen+ BT, unplug the existing BT module as it'll still communicate even if it's not in the installation list.
  4. It depends how you code it... You can either: - disable BT on the Amundsen+ and use the separate BT module - enable BT on the Amundsen+ and remove the BT module Your BT module is A2SP as you can stream music, however it may not be AVRCP compatible which is what adds the skip and track info. As you already have a mic, it's very likely to go directly to the BT module rather than the quadlock. If you want to use the Amundsen+ BT then you'll need to run new wires either from the mic or BT connector back to the quadlock connector I've no idea how the inbuilt BT compares or if it supports track skip/info etc...
  5. Yup, both VCDS and OBDeleven should be able to increase it from 10 to 30 colours or just change the original 10 edit: There are some options here:
  6. I'd swap the ballasts over. No idea if you can replace the ballast without removing the headlight. On a 2012, the ballast will probably be a silver metal unit held in with three screws
  7. At a guess, they want to remove the rear wiper so need a delete kit to plug the hole. However the vendor they are wanting to use aren't replying to email or phone so they wanted to know if others have used or contacted https://www.killallwipers.com/ recently 👍
  8. I'm not sure, it's not something I've had to remove yet @SashaGrace probably knows
  9. The knobs will unclip if you're careful. You'll need to remove the panel from the car and take off the facia first but you can see the four clips here: If needed, you can also remove the screws from the back of the unit to take it completely apart and make sure there isn't coke on the PCB etc
  10. That part number seems to be a composition media (no sat nav)...? A quick google suggests 0627 exists for it, no idea if it's publicly available or correct for the headunit though :/
  11. At a guess, that'll be a MIB2 Discover Pro which is basically a MIB2 Columbus. You don't need VCDS to perform an update but it can be used to clear a harmless error message after the update Once you've confirmed the exact part number and software version, I'm sure @pab567 can provide an update if it exists...
  12. What headunit is it? Pictures of the headunit and its software versions or a VCDS autoscan might help
  13. You might want to add a larger image, that ones tiny and basically unreadable
  14. Assuming you're using genuine VCDS, you should ask on their forum as they can probably help 👍
  15. It's a setting you can change using the radio 👍 I think double tapping the unlock button will also unlock everything.
  16. Looking online, 5Q0 959 760 F seems to be from 2020/21 cars, at a guess, it should have 5Q0 959 760 A? A dealer or garage who have ODIS and an online subscription should be able to parameterise the module. Although I'm sure I've heard rumours that it can only do modules that are 'allowed' so I'm not sure if an F rev is officially supported on a 2016 car. Otherwise, a VCP user might be able to help - but it depends what parameter files they have access to
  17. Skoda don't give a proper changelog, however the TPI 2049459/10 states that: So it should fix some bugs around those areas
  18. Just done a bit more searching, seems like only the original vRS 245 'edition' and the later 'Challenge edition' got the performance monitor. The other vRS models including the 'normal' 245 don't seem to get it :( It should be possible to enable the lap timer using VCDS or similar though.
  19. The performance monitor should be available regardless of driving mode Very surprised it's not present on your vRS, I had always assumed it was standard for a vRS... As I said above:
  20. It's unlikely a garage will. An electronics repair shop might be able to read/write to the EEOROM but they won't know how to fix the needle configuration You can pick a ch341a with a test clip for less than a tenner. The test clip attaches directly to the EEPROM chip like this: That'll let you read the contents of the chip without any soldering etc. If you send me the contents, I'll tweak it for you and send a new file back. You'd just need to write the data and put the cluster back together with a MPH facia. There are a few cheap used clusters on eBay for which might be suitable donors for the replacement facia. Just check the symbol layout matches the original. Image taken from: https://www.drive2.ru/l/6475842/
  21. I'm pretty sure all three things they've mentioned should be stock on a vRS. They certainly seemed to be on mine... For the performance monitor: - press either 'car' or 'home' >> 'vehicle' (depending on headunit) - press 'selection' in the bottom left - choose 'sport' or similar For the lap timer or navigation on the maxidot: - press the 'back' button a few times (right most button on the MFSW) - scroll up/down using the right scroll wheel - when you see lap timer or navigation, click the right scroll wheel You'll only get turn by turn nav if you've got a destination set and directions active If that doesn't work, take some pictures or a video so we can see what you're doing/seeing
  22. The owners manual covers all spec levels so it's likely there will be an amount missing from any standard car. Still, on a 2019 vRS I'd expect it to have the lap timer, performance monitor (boost etc) and navigation to work on the maxidot
  23. I expect anyone with VCDS or forget l other VAG specific tools can code the new abs module. Not sure if we have many members in France who have it? Or if they'll be close enough to be useful? Maybe try and find a VAG specialist. It's not a hard job to record the existing coding, replace the module and recode the replacement. I've done it on my drive previously...
  24. I didn't think there was a gear position sensor on a manual. There is a sensor to say if it's in neutral but I thought the gear selected was just a calculation of revs vs speed.
