As the OP seems to have VCDS, they can check the software version of the ECU. If it's above 9970 then it's been fixed, simples. VCDS can't perform a roll back as mentioned above

Climate control does not mean it's dual zone climate control... You can get: - manual AC just has blue to red for colder/hotter with no temperature control - single zone climate control lets you set a temperature and flaps adjust to hit that temperature - dual zone climate control has different temperatures for the driver and passengers - tri zone climate control has different temperatures for the driver, front passenger and rear passengers In this case, I believe the OP wants to change from manual AC to single zone climate. That will let them set a temperature and leave the car to figure it out With used parts, it's probably only £100-150 at a guess. Certainly much cheaper than trading their SE in for an SEL.

It's entirely possible for a fault to show in the airbag system causing the warning light without an EML showing. You might even find that it's a previous issue so all you need is the code clearing as airbag faults typically won't self-reset.

I didn't say it was? You said the airbag light was on, I said there will be a fault code explaining why... If your current obd tool doesn't show any faults relating to airbags, it sounds like you need a better obd tool.

A single 30a fuse at the fuseboard will protect both the cable and TEC3M. Same deal for the TEB7SA, it just needs one 15a fuse at the fuseboard. This assumes the cable used is suitable for 30a or 15a

VCDS will let you create an autoscan which includes the ABS coding, it will also let you recode the ABS module if needed. It cannot do immobilizer or odometer correction - you should find a specialist

I believe that OBDeleven has a 'history' file somewhere and can also make a 'backup' of the adaption channels. Are you able to find/create these and post them? If we can see how your car is currently configured and ideally what changes have been made, we should be able to get you sorted

On instrument clusters, the software changes between revisions, going newer is normally OK but I wouldn't suggest going older... You have the newest version (SW:06xx) for the Octavia, as you want petrol and kph, the obvious options are: - 1Z0 920 843 Q (non-VRS) - 1Z0 920 843 R (vRS) The only difference between these are the dial backgrounds and the max speed. With the right knowledge and tools, it's possible to upgrade SW:04xx clusters to SW:06xx and convert TDi to petrol reusing your existing dial backgrounds.
