  1. First thing I noticed when I downsized from a Kodiaq to my 24 1.5 tsi Kamiq Monte Carlo was the lack of gear numbers when in D. Must say after the first few days you don’t even realise it’s missing, the gearbox is clever enough to be in the right gear, so do I need to know what gear it’s selected, it appears not. Even when in sport mode and the gear numbers are displayed, can’t say I’m looking to see what gear it’s in, I just let it get on with what it appears to do impeccably.
  2. As far as I understand, switching to sports mode only changes the dynamics of the shock absorbers, the car does not lower itself. The Monte Carlo sports chassis control suspension is lowered 10 mm on the Kamiq and 15 mm on the Scala.
  3. When my son had his Karoq he use the 7x16 et45 Spectrum alloys with winter tyres I had previously used on my Yeti with no problems. I think Skoda stipulate 6x16 et 43 wheels to allow snow chains to be fitted, if your not going to be fitting chains then the wheels supplied will be fine.
  4. Not sure on answer to your question, but I like this setting , shows all the relevant info your after.
  5. I believe you can settle the PCP at any time. Paying the settlement in the first month would mean minimal interest charge and yes you keep any incentives, contributions, etc. Plenty of posts on here on the subject.
  6. I would certainly get the Haldex oil changed, but not at a dealer unless they are one of the few that as well as changing the oil they remove the pump and clean the mesh filter. If they say they don’t remove the pump the job done properly at an independent garage, who will probably be cheaper than the dealer. The pump filter on my Kodiaq was similar to this after 2 years.
  7. The usb port beside the mirror is part of the £355 charging package option that includes wireless phone charging and the usb port beside the mirror.
  8. Not sure where the autohold button is on the latest models but previously a few have pressed it instead of the stop/ start button.
  9. There should be a switch on the roof consul for turning rear lights on/ off.
  10. I believe the light sensor sensitivity settings are for setting the when the headlight dipped beam switch on when on auto.
  11. My 2024 Kamiq does not appear to have this near and far, or any sensitivity adjustment in the settings, only a box to tick/ untick for headlight assist, which turns the matrix high beam function on/ off.
  12. Check the options for convenience flash is ticked in the settings. If it worked before, are you using a different key as some settings are key specific.
  13. Have you started using the other keyfob, some settings are key specific. If not it’s easy enough to change the settings in the infotainment screen to what you had before, or any other preference.
  14. I agree the 1.5 tsi is a nice engine. As to what spec you pick you’d best look at the brochure or use the online configurator to see what options you’d like come as standard or would need to add. The specs have changed slightly since I bought mine with the new Edition models, but I ended up choosing the Monte Carlo as it had the matrix led headlights (which are amazing) amongst other options I wanted which at the time would have made a SEL more expensive than the Monte Carlo. The configurator can be found here https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/. And Link to brochure below.
  15. Could it be the glow plug heating is taking longer, hence the delay and why it starts fine when warm.
  16. You need to press the button directly below the RH scroll button , this brings up options you can scroll through and confirm selection by pressing scroll button.
  17. My 2024 1.5 Tsi Monte Carlo Kamiq only coasts in eco mode, whereas my previous 2022 1.5 Kodiaq did it in normal mode as well as eco.
  18. Also documented in the owners manual.
  19. MySkoda is free for the first year, and on some newer models for the first 3 years. If you haven’t paid the subscription it won’t work on a 2021 car.
  20. Spare wheel is £150 option when new, but can be retrofitted but costs more.
  21. More likely to be the washer for the camera lens, that operates in conjunction with the rear screen wash.
  22. Winter weather/ snow here, these are still available.
