  1. This will happen if there is only one car in front of you and it takes the slip road then slows down. The radar has no way of knowing that the motorway continues straight ahead and can only assume that you will follow the car that turned off. If it can see another car ahead on the motorway then it knows it can continue straight.
  2. Does the steering wheel volume control wheel have any effect? Could it be faulty and overriding the knob on the display?
  3. Yes, mine's always done the same.
  4. Cheap DCC shocks in this thread from earlier in the week: Monroe Shocks
  5. On my wife's SEAT Ateca, you can disable keyless entry by locking the car with the key fob button then tapping the lock sensor on the door handle as if you were keyless locking. Is it the same on the Superb?
  6. You need to get the tie-rods adjusted equally but opposite (one lengthened, one shortened) so that the rack is centred while the wheel alignment stays the same. This happens because most garages won't do more than adjust one tie-rod to get the toe-in correct, which leaves the rack off-centre.
  7. Looks to me like the trims have been wrapped and rear windows darkened, sign of a ex-taxi?
  8. That thread didn't come to a firm conclusion unfortunately. Suggest you reconnect yours and see if it helps with your problem.
  9. Your mention of Sport mode reminded me of this topic: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/495154-superb-mk3-epc-and-faults-advice-needed/
  10. These are the reversing lights recommended in this thread, no issues with them in 2 years for me: AUXITO 2x 1156 Ba15s 382 Reverse Led White P21w Indicator Fog Brake Light Bulb
  11. Sport mode ACC does accelerate more aggressively when you pull out, but it also brakes late and hard when you come up behind someone. I prefer normal mode, despite its sluggish acceleration, because it backs off the throttle early and doesn't usually need to brake; you can accelerate faster with the pedal if necessary.
  12. The 2024 VW Passat looks familiar!
  13. Does anyone understand the logic behind why Amundsen performs a cold or warm start? From new, mine nearly always performs a cold start with the Skoda logo splash screen and a frustratingly long wait for Android Auto to start up. However, it occassionally does a warm start and AA is available immediately. Weirdly, it seems that the longer I leave the car, the more likely it is to do a warm start, I'd expect the opposite! Whether it's on radio/media/phone/nav or app when switched off at the end of the previous journey doesn't seem to make any difference. It's MIB 2.5 Amundsen in a 2017 Superb III.
  14. While investigating mine, I found that it's easy to dismantle the latch mechanism - pull the button outwards and all will become clear. No tools are needed and all the parts can be accessed so it might reveal the problem if your latch pins are sticky. The actual fault on mine is that the left hand hinge doesn't clip firmly into place on the dashboard and occassionally needs to be lifted back into place. This realigns the latch pin and all will be well for a while.
  15. Stop/start is disabled, idle speed is higher, and gearbox holds a lower gear than usual. You wouldn't know if it regen'ed during a motorway journey.
  16. There's no need to leave the car switched on while you're working on the brakes, the park brake system will remember it's in service mode and allow you to reset it when you switch back on afterwards. The important things are: don't turn the piston to retract it, push it straight back don't reset until the brakes are fully reassembled
  17. Perhaps those from an Arteon or Passat would fit, it seems to be called a windscreen water deflector.
  18. This post has a source for replacement exhaust valve actuator springs:
  19. Yes, it's a big hit on fuel consumption. Initial warm up is quite quick though, especially with the electric demist heater; in fact, I wonder if it's keeping the revs up to provide power for this, idle speed is very high too.
  20. I'm getting similar behaviour in this very cold spell, it's as if the gearbox holds a lower gear to help the engine warm up. It goes back to normal after about 20 minutes of driving from a cold start at -9 degrees.
  21. £425; Skoda quoted £599, the local VW specialist £650 and another local garage £598. Hope that's not too competitive!
  22. Cambelt and waterpump change plus MOT pass to celebrate the cars 5th birthday. Went to a local garage with a good reputation, they were adamant that the cambelt interval should be 10 years/120k miles but I got them to go ahead anyway.
  23. Ouch, unlucky. You could try breakers and eBay for doors in the same colour, worked well for me with a previous car.
  24. For Amundsen, this has to be an original Skoda card. Links to the latest maps are here: Amundsen Mib2 Map Updates 2023/2024 Thank you @MartiniB for maintaining these
  25. Have you set your tailgate to 'Sport' mode? Or is it like ship's lighting - red at night so as not to affect your night vision?
