  2. Which was? ( for the next person with the same problem ) Thanks, AG Falco
  3. What Infotainment system do you have? If you have the Bolero system and a MFD ( Multi Function Display ) on the dash then you can change what info is shown via the Bolero system. Live MPG and Oil Temperature are options. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. Button ( 1 ) is the button below the MFD on the dash with ''0.0 / SET'' marked on it. 5. Most of us here have a RHD car with the build in ( plastic ) foot rest. Have you emailed kopacek? :-http://www.kopacek.com/scripts/helpdesk.php?IDZ=35724 Thanks, AG Falco
  6. Just the idle speed revs is all that is required. You use the automatic anti stall engine rev rise to your advantage and then you will have no stutters. This will also make your clutch last longer. Thanks, AG Falco
  7. If you are already on fixed servicing you can reset both the service and inspection warning without any computers. I have done this on my Fourth, Fifth and Sixth fixed services. If you are in Variable servicing you can only change it to fixed servicing without any computers. Thanks, AG Falco
  8. Turn both the car's infotainment system completely off and restart your phone, then re connect both. Thanks, AG Falco
  9. Which engine code is yours? If it is a CJZC or CJZD then carry on reading. Yes the mechanical water pump and thermostat housing is on the other side of the engine to the cambelt. There is also a second water pump but that is an electric pump. Quote from EA 211 TSI Engine service training manual:- ''The thermostat housing is installed on the cylinder head on the gearbox side. The coolant pump has been integrated into the thermostat housing to produce the most compact cooling system design possible. The coolant pump is driven by the exhaust camshaft using a toothed belt.'' The part number on the Gates website appears to be correct but their image of the bits is wrong? https://gatesautocat.com/v/skoda/fabia/powergrip®-kit-+-waterpump/gates/kp25680xs-2.html Spark plugs due at 40 000 miles and air filter at 60 000 miles. Headlamp bulb would indicate you have the projector type front lights with four H7 headlamp bulbs. I use no throttle when starting the car from stationary. Thanks, AG Falco
  10. Have you tried this above? Thanks, AG Falco
  11. Steering lock only locks if you turn the steering wheel about 180 degrees with the key out of the ignition. Does the door lock button on the dash work. Your drivers door does have a manual key hole to lock/unlock the doors. It is underneath the small plastic part of the outside door handle. Look in the Manual for more info. If you have changed the key battery you might need to resync the key to the car. Look in the Manual for more info. Thanks, AG Falco
  12. If you find out what the noise please keep us posted. Thanks, AG Falco
  13. Yes. See the post on 24 Feb in this topic on page one from Planetse:- VW UK say 5 years regardless of mileage VW rest of the World say 160000 kms is a check only and replace if necessary. Read this email. 'I am happy to confirm that the information I previously provided is correct, and to confirm, the cambelt replacement intervals for your vehicle are 160,000 miles' 'Having your cambelt replaced every 4 years is a UK recommendation on most Skoda vehicles, but Skoda UK's Technical Department maintain that every 160,000 miles is the interval for a cambelt replacement on your Fabia based on the engine type and size' The Peugeot I had has belt changes listed at 120 000 miles or 10 years. I changed it at 8 years and 96 000 miles. Old belt was in good condition. Car still running at 18 years and 136 000 miles. Thanks, AG Falco
  14. I bought some USB C male to Micro USB female adaptors. They are about 20 mm long and just fit on the end of any cables I already had. Still all working three years later. Fit and forget for me. Thanks, AG Falco
  15. Fabia III original rear pads and disks at 50 000 miles, 5 years old and are about half worn. You need to clean them yearly to make them last. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. Was it fixed? Thanks, AG Falco
  17. The photo of my belt was taken yesterday. My car is 5 years and 55 k miles. My belt shows no signs of age / wear. Before I bought the car in 2016 I looked up details of the belt. The Belt manufacture ( Continental ) recommends checking the belt at 160 000 miles and then every 20 000 miles. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. You / Your Mechanic can look at the belt by just removing one bolt and four clips. It takes less than ten minutes to do. The bolt hole is at the top of the black cover in the photo and is a Torx 30. Two clips are either side of the cover and want a flat head screwdriver. The other two clips hold two pipes in place on the face of the cover to the right of the label. Thanks, AG Falco
  19. This will not charge the battery especially if it has just been fully charged. Have you found out what the error is? Thanks, AG Falco A smart charger with a low charging rate of 3 amps would only need 10 hours to charge up a half charged 59 AH battery. 3 amps x 10 hours = 30 AH's. Has the battery been cooked / overcharged? Thanks, AG Falco
  20. You want 12.6 volts for a charged battery when testing it after it has been given time to rest from being charged. Most car battery tests on an AGM/EFB battery will suggest you first fully charge and then retest the battery to get a proper result. The 5 year old battery on my car got tested last Saturday when I did it's 6th service. The tester rated the EN at higher than the original rating is listed at! They have been fitting AGM batteries to some cars ( without stop / start ) for 20 years already. Thanks, AG Falco
  21. A stop start car will NOT fully charge the battery by design. If the battery is already full charged then what happens when you brake? Look here at Micro Hybrid 2:- https://www.yuasa.co.uk/info/technical/micro-hybrid-hybrid-vehicles-explained/ Thanks. AG Falco
  22. Also if you don't remove the battery from the car then don't connect the charger up to both battery terminals. You need to connect the negative up to an earthing point, see the car manual for more detail. Thanks, AG Falco
  23. AGFalco replied to xman's topic in Tyres & Wheels
Try swapping the tyres / wheels from side to side. Try clearing your web history and your cookies then check the price again as delti.com do use them. Thanks, AG Falco
  24. I have a small / cheap EML 27 Bluetooth OBD2 that connects to my mobile, and have access to a Hella Gutmann diagnostic Mega Macs. I have several cars that are from different makes so these don't come with recommendations if you only have a Skoda. Thanks, AG Falco
