  1. The power assisted steering motor is electric and is on steering column below the steering wheel. Is the air bag warning light still on? Thanks AG Falco
  2. Torx came out over 50 years ago. Thanks, AG Falco
  3. You can only have one device connected via Bluetooth at any one time. Put the music on your phone and you can satnav and listen to music at the same time via Android Auto. Thanks, AG Falco

True. Did one of my car's AC on Saturday. Recovery was 195 g and refilled with 450 g of R134a. This car had lost just over half of the refrigerant since last time I did it, 5 years ago. Does it still work well? ( If it does then maybe don't bother. ) Which type of refrigerant do you have? R134a refrigerant slowly, Cost less than three figures. R1234yf refrigerant quicker. Cost more than three figures. ( unless you have a leak. ) Thanks, AG Falco
  5. Rule of thumb:- Vibration at higher speeds = wheel balance or tyre pressures. If the steering wheel is vibrating then balance front wheels. If the vibration is felt through the seat then balance the rear wheels. What units are these? ( degrees , minutes or MM? ) I don't think the rear alignment is adjustable unless they are just moving the the whole rear axle. But this won't change the total toe just the thrust angle. Correct. None directly, but if the tyres wear unevenly because of poor alignment then this can make the wheels/tyres go out of balance. Thanks, AG Falco
  6. To find out if there are ( some of the ) any safety recalls on your car you can go to:- https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ Put in your Reg number ( press Enter ) then scroll down to and click on:- Outstanding vehicle recalls Thanks, AG Falco
  7. You have posted this in the Fabia III section? Thanks, AG Falco
  8. If it was reset today it would be for 372 days or 15.000 km time from today. This is assuming your car is on Fixed servicing and not Variable servicing. Is this for an Inspection service or an oil change service? My Fabia has had 3 MOT's and 6 services from new but never at the same time. Thanks, AG Falco
  9. Something like:- Head office run the website and set prices for both the website and at branch level. Many company's have a web price and an in store price these days. Thanks, AG Falco
  10. Look here:- Thanks, AG Falco
  11. Order the fuel filler sticker from the other poster above that had 18'' and 19'' inch listed. Part number:- 3V0. 010 000 AP Then stick that in your cars fuel filler cover. Thanks, AG Falco
  12. I read it as, ' I changed the windscreen because of all the marks left by testing the NEW wiper lever.' ' but the testing was done with a dry windscreen so this has left marks on the glass' Thanks, AG Falco
  13. Look here:- Thanks, AG Falco
  14. What was the oil temperature and level? Thanks, AG Falco
  15. Test the bulbs before fitting. If you are not sure on a bulb then fit that bulb in a different place, ( the other working side rear brake ) but then fit the bulb you know works in the original non working side. This way you can work out if it is the bulb, the fitting or the computer. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. Neither rear wash or rear wipe is part of an MOT test. Thanks, AG Falco
  17. I presume that the clutch friction plate and flywheel face were still in good condition when they went back in? Some people would only change the clutch when the friction plate is worn out. I know people who have used a car with worn springs ( but not friction plate ) on a DMF for many thousands of miles with no problem. There is a technique / skill you want to apply for this. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. I will have a look on erwin Skoda tomorrow at work for mine. Thanks, AG Falco
  19. This can be overcome with very good clutch control. I have had customers come in complaining of a shake / knock when they first move off from a standstill with their car. Yet when I test drive the car it is not present. It might be Skoda have a SMF clutch listed ( to be fitted now ) but had a DMF listed a original equipment on the car. Hence the confusion. Worked for one big European manufacture who couldn't tell us what type of rear brake cylinders were fitted to one range of their cars. When ever we ordered some we got both types sent to us. Good luck on Friday. Thanks, AG Falco
  20. Already exists on some cars. Drove one 20 years ago that had this. Thanks, AG Falco
  21. Yes, but not as cold as it is now it has been refilled. Yes, if you have the fan off but have been driving for a few miles when you first turn the fan, but not the AC, on you can feel cold from the vents. Running the AC but at only 6% helps to stop the AC seals drying up and loosing it's refrigerant. This can make the system work better longer. I have not needed to refill the AC on my Fabia III since new, also now 5 years old, unlike the other car which doesn't run all the time. Thanks, AC Falco
  22. How? Sounds like an inlet pipe is not connected/sealed properly. So you start the car and drive. Then after a while when you stop the car, but not turn the engine off, the stop start will automatically stop the engine. But the car will NOT automatically restart the engine when you push the clutch in? Do you get a message in the MDF saying you need to start the car manually, eg. with the key? Thanks, AG Falco
  23. The Fabia III has the AC running all the time. If you have the AC button off it still runs but at about 6%. They run the cheaper AC gas R134a not the more expensive R1234yf. My car will turn it on automatically if the dials are adjusted to certain positions. Like direction to windscreen and or heat to cold. Did one of my car's AC on Saturday. Recovery was 195 g and refilled with 450 g. This car had lost just over half of the refrigerant since last time I did it, 5 years ago. Thanks, AG Falco
  24. Do you have a stop/start button just above the headlight switch? When you turn the ignition on this switch should NOT be lit. The switch has a round arrow outside an 'A'. To turn the stop/start off you need to push the button and it lights up. You will need to do this every time the ignition is turned on as it defaults to ON after every time the ignition is switched off. To start the car you need to push the clutch in. If the clutch is pushed in the stop/start doesn't work. Your video suggests a starting problem. It starts then cuts out. If you try to start the car without the clutch in do you get a message on the MFD on the dash? Is the switch to sense if the clutch is pushed in working? Judging by the number of times you have tried to start the car would suggest that the battery is good at the minute. Do you mean once the engine is warm? Try turning the stop start off? When trying to start the car do this:- Ignition on, but don't start it. Count to five. Clutch in, then start the engine but don't touch the throttle. Thanks, AG Falco
