  1. Had you been screwed or nailed. ( In the tyre. ) Did you try and see if your 16'' wheel tyre fits in your spare wheel well? Thanks, AG Falco
  2. Fabia III 1.2 TSI Petrol. Thanks, AG Falco
  3. If a 14'' steel wheel will fit on the car over the front brakes then it is a 175 70 14 tyre. What wheel/tyres do you have on the car. Always try and see if a full size wheel/tyre will fit in the boot first. Normal UK steel spare is a 6J x 15 with a 185 60 15 tyre. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. Local TPS Depot? TPS Swansea Unit 5 St David's Road, Swansea Enterprise Park, Llansamlet, Swansea SA6 8QL, UK mail [email protected] call 01792 578073 Thanks, AG Falco
  5. Is the car still on variable servicing after doing the reset? You can check in the infotainment system. Thanks, AG Falco
  6. Batteries are in short supply at the minute, and prices have been rising a little. One type of AGM has been out of stock for over two months with a supplier we use. Thanks, AG Falco
  7. 31 in view and using 19 now in my back garden on my mobile phone. My mobile also uses 4 different satellite systems:- A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO & BDS. Using a navigation app on the mobile while in a plane is fun. 600 MPH and 10,000 Ft altitude. A car with a SOS button in it will have a satellite chip inside. If you live/work in North Dorset you cannot rely on mobile signal. When you have customers in the middle if a forest/field then what3words becomes useful. Thanks, AG Falco
  8. Is your radio on DAB or FM? Thanks, AG Falco
  9. Has the car got a SOS button? Thanks, AG Falco
  10. The TPMS system uses the ABS sensors to sense for a tyre pressure problem. The ESP also takes info from them as well as from other things like the Yaw sensor and Steering angle sensor. Thanks, AG Falco
  11. The Steering angle sensor is just in front of the steering wheel inside the cabin. If the alignment is adjusted by a large amount then this steering angle sensor might need recalibration using a diagnostic tool. Thanks, AG Falco
  12. A rear disk and pad on my Fabia III at 5 years old and 54,000 miles. These are the original parts. Photo below. They have lasted because every autumn they are:- The disk faces are cleaned but not greased. Thanks, AG Falco
  13. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004P3VQEC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Had this set for 5 years and is still OK and only £9.00. Thanks, AG Falco
  14. What type of noise? When was the last time they were removed, cleaned, regreased and refitted? Thanks, AG Falco
  15. Stomil-Olsztyn company from Poland, Michelin became involved in 1995. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. From the present highway Code:- Tyre pressures. Check weekly Thanks, AG Falco
  17. Kormoran Tyres are owned/made by Michelin. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. No motorways in North Dorset. Toe out which will wear the inside edges faster. The original tyres were Nexen. I now have two Continentals as well. Thanks, AG Falco
  19. It looks like the inside edges are more worn than the rest of the tread on the front tyres. Not unusual and you can find that the rear tyres wear the outside edge more. What I do is fit new tyres to the rear and swap the old rear tyres diagonally to the front. I also run mine at 2.4 bar, especially if you have a heavy diesel engine. Fronts will last about 27K miles for me but with no adverse edge wear at the end. Thanks, AG Falco
  20. What tyre pressure do you run? Thanks, AG Falco
  21. Will a battery disconnect and reconnect be worth a try with the new settings in the infotainment system? Thanks, AG Falco
  22. Renault Laguna. The four TPMS valves had a coloured rubber band around the stem. You could not move the valves from their designated rubber band coloured position on the car. The spare when fitted would show a warning light. The stems would break. The batteries went flat. You couldn't just change the valve stem with the rubber seal, so they would leak from where they fit to wheel. Peugeot 407. If you had the pear shaped key fob you couldn't move the valves from the original position on the car, if you knew where that was after you fitted four new tyres at the same time. The spare when fitted would show a warning. The stems would break. The batteries went flat. You couldn't just change the valve stem with the rubber seal, so they would leak from where they fit to wheel. The later 407's with the rectangular key fob you could at least move the valves around. The sensors were set to warn you at 2.0 bar but the normal pressures were 2.6 bar. So you could drive with the tyres underinflated by 0.5 bar with no warning. When these TPMS valves were £100.00 a piece fitted/programmed when it stopped working people would replace them all with normal valves and turn the TPMS off. If you don't have a spare wheel/tyre and you drive on a flat tyre you can break the TPMS valve inside the wheel/tyre. I would rather have the indirect ABS system and check my tyres and pressures. Thanks, AG Falco
  23. Can you change what is displayed in the MFD using the infotainment system? Only tick the speed one if you have the Bolero system. Thanks, AG Falco
  24. All sensors need a good voltage to work. When you get several warnings for unconnected problems charge and check the battery voltage first. A low / old battery can have a low voltage but still work ok. This low voltage could be the reason for your warnings. Thanks, AG Falco
