  1. 6th Service done yesterday at 55000 miles. Oil and filter changed and replaced the cabin filter this time. Bought 20 Litres of oil this time as I have three cars to do that can all use the same oil. Both filters and 20 litres of oil £105.50. Brakes are half worn front and rear and are still the original ones. Will need a pair of tyres before the winter though. Front's only lasting for about 27000 miles. Battery test showed the battery as good as new. Nothing else needed doing. It had it's 3rd MOT last month and again a pass with no advisories. Both service and inspection warning messages reset. Updated the electronic service record again. Fuel consumption for the last two tanks before the service ( brim to brim calculations ) were 59 and 62 MPG in a petrol. Still going well and still like the car. Thanks AG Falco
  2. I use Android Auto and I don't have the Amundsen sat nav. With my car I can push and hold the 'voice' button and google then kicks in. I can then say 'navigate to Tesco Shaftesbury' and it works. ( other shops / towns are available. ) You need data on and a 4G signal for this to work. Thanks, AG Falco
  3. If you use Android Auto then with your phone connected to the car you just push and hooooooold the button down. Google will then step in and work. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. The rust needs to be removed from where the brake pads should touch the disks. Especially the inside face as this is normally worse than the outer face. As I said before, you can see the rust on the outside in the video in post 2. When metal disks gets rusty they expand and cause the rubbing sound. Thanks, AG Falco

I run Vredestein Quatrac 5's as my winter tyres down south here. Why not buy the Vredestein ready for the winter. But still use / fit the Pirelli's during the summer. Also rotate your summer Pirelli's every time you have them refitted to wear them out as a set. They can get noisy from a sawtooth pattern appearing on the inside of the rear tyres. I rotate them diagonally to cut the noise down that this causes. Thanks AG Falco
  6. When it sticks in reverse gear it is as if you are trying to pull it in neutral but without putting the clutch in first. As if the clutch is dragging and not disengaging properly. Thanks, AG Falco
  7. I don't think it is the oil in the gearbox or the engine. For me it is more noticeable when the weather is cold. Thanks, AG Falco
  8. It tends to happen more often the colder it is and the shorter the journey is. Thanks, AG Falco
  9. Yes mine has the 4 buttons each side. But in my defence I suggested you select Android Auto. ( the other choice you have is Mirrorlink. ) So for others with the same problem you:- Turn phone on. Turn Bluetooth and Location on. Open Android Auto on phone. Turn Car on. Turn infotainment system on. Turn Bluetooth on in car. Then connect Phone to car via Cable. Select:- App/( head talking symbol) button Android Auto logo on touch screen Select ( your ) phone. Thanks, AG Falco
  10. Sounds like the brake pads touching the ( rusty ) disks to me. Look on the inside face of the disk for a build up of rust from the outer and inner edges. In the video you can see the outer face has some rust on the brake pad contact points. The inside face is normally worse than the outside face. Thanks, AG Falco
  11. IS there a relevant Haynes manual for the Fabia III, even an on line version? Thanks, AG Falco
  12. Herramientas Eurotools S.A is the Spanish connection. Now all part of Snap on. Thanks, AG Falco
  13. Or the exhaust knocking against something. Get them to remove to undertrays to find it on Monday. Back of the engine where the exhaust comes down would be where I would look. Thanks, AG Falco
  14. A stone between the exhaust and heat shield would be my guess. Does it disappear if you raise the engine revs. Thanks, AG Falco
  15. Turn the Car Bluetooth off and remove the passengers phone from the car's list of paired phones. Both via the phone button on the infotainment system. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. Fully charge the car battery with smart charger, connecting it up the correct way. Clear all the fault codes then drive the car and see what happens. Thanks, AG Falco
  17. The air filter is listed to change at 60K miles. You have to remove the air filter housing to get to the spark plugs. I changed my air filter when I did my spark plugs at 37.5K miles / 4 years old. The old air filter and spark plugs both looked good. If the air filter was not changed then I doubt the spark plugs will have been changed. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. TB is common to all cylinders. The long life spark plugs are meant to be changed every 40K miles. What mileage are you at and have they be done? Is the car on Q16 variable or Q14 Fixed servicing? Thanks, AG Falco
  19. I am on Android Auto Version 6.5.612124. I have no problems connecting with the car but I don't use a Pixel phone. For me every new phone / Android version / Android Auto version have brought improvements. Thanks, AG Falco
  20. Mine has always done that in hot weather. Just be gentle with the throttle or let it idle for 30's and it goes. I think it is NOT adding fuel unlike on cold starts. Thanks, AG Falco
  21. Try this in this order. Turn phone on. Turn Bluetooth and Location on. Open Android Auto on phone. Turn Car on. Turn infotainment system on. Turn Bluetooth on in car. Then connect Phone to car via Cable. Then select:- Menu, Smartlink, Android Auto Select ( Your ) Phone. You also need to do this without the car moving and with the handbrake on. Thanks, AG Falco
  22. Check for extra Brexit charges before ordering from Delti.com/Mytyres in Germany. ( If over £135.00 ? ) https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/online-shopping-do-i-have-to-pay-vat-import-and-handling-costs-ajPOC6A5brEA Thanks, AG Falco
  23. If a normal wheel / tyre fits in the boot then you could just get one to match. I have an alloy spare which is exactly the same as the rest of the wheels in my boot. It has a 185 60 15 tyre. The 16'' alloy wheel and tyre is no bigger in diameter, just a bit wider which will raise the boot floor a little. Or:- This one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254959028934?epid=1034622053&hash=item3b5cbe0ac6:g:XUsAAOSwYW9giQ0i Thanks, AG Falco
