What have you done to your Superb III today?
Either that - or really bad flat-spotting under brake lock-up - which shouldn't happen if the ABS is working correctly.

Disabling Car Alarm by Disconnecting the Battery?
I strongly suspect that the alarm operation will be 'Fail Secure' and will sound if the battery is disconnected while the alarm is armed.

Disabling Car Alarm by Disconnecting the Battery?
The faulty door sensor could well be the cause of the alarm being triggered. as mentioned before, the alarm has its own, integrated, battery, disconnecting the vehicle battery will not disable the alarm.

So… how long can a battery sit for?
The reason for limiting the charge to approx. 75% is to allow capacity for regenerative charging under overrun/braking conditions (micro-hybrid) Actually, provided they are not subjected to overcharging, lead acid battery life is better if they are charged to 100%, due to reduction of hard sulphation of the plates.

So… how long can a battery sit for?
One thing to remember, even if Stop/Start is deactivated every trip, battery SOC will rarely ever be more than 75-80% charged due to the way the smart charging alternator operates.

So… how long can a battery sit for?
A recent experience may help serve as a guide. Car - bought new in October 2015 (MY16) Octavia Combi 1.4 TSI, manual 6-speed. 31K miles. Battery, Moll EFB fitted new in 2016 as a warranty replacement - so battery 9 years old. Automatic stop/start is always used. I occasionally charge the battery due to frequent short trips (as evidenced by very low miles) The last charge was on June 1st. Battery was fully charged before trip (Ring RSC608) vehicle was static for 35 days, battery charge state was tested on return from trip and was 53% SAE (12.33VDC) / 66% DIN (12.31 VDC) Test report was Good Battery but requires charging.

2017 1.0 tsi (CHZD MQ250)clutch slipping under load. Replacement guide?
Welcome to the forum. I'd check with seller to make sure this is a M6 gearbox - and not a DSG.

Error lights when towing caravan.
Was the error referring to 'Brake lights' instead of just 'Brakes'? If so, a strong possibility that a dirty connection in the trailer connection was raising an issue where bulb failure detection was in operation. Disconnecting, then reconnecting the plug may have served to clean the connection.

Hello, welcome to the forum. What filter do you mean? Do you mean the Air Filter, or either DPF or PPF on the exhaust system?

Coolant issue
Unable to read dipstick as image is out of focus, but considering 1 year and more than 12,000 Km, I wouldn't consider that you have a problem. Was the oil level above minimum level? If so, I'd guess only approx. 0.5 litre used. Do you check oil level between services?

Fuel guage showing full all the time? Mk1 fabia 1.2htp
Do you know if your son has driven more than 70 miles since filling the tank? It is fairly common for fuel gauges to not register any movement from full tank for first 50 to 70 miles after fill to brim.

Car lose power and stutters under heavy load (uphill or at higher speeds) Skoda Octavia Mk3 SE TSi Manual Petrol 1395cc
Hello, welcome to the forum. From your description, it sounds as if you have a misfire under load - have the spark plugs been checked? Do you know if they have ever been changed? A DTC scan should show high misfire counts if faulty plugs or coil packs are the cause. Misfires can cause the EPC indicator to light up - Stop/Start will be inhibited when EPC is lit.

Battery Change 202 Kamiq SEl
Manufacturer of battery is not important and serial number can simply be existing number with last digit changed. Agree with items 1,3 & 4.

Battery Change 202 Kamiq SEl
The battery adaptation (coding) issue is not unique to Kamiq - it applies to ANY vehicle fitted with smart alternator charging control, which will include virtually all vehicles fitted with stop/start function.

Water temperature
Welcome to the forum. If your question is 'Is this Normal' ? no, it's not - most likely you have an issue with the thermostatic sliding sleeve on the coolant pump.

AGM Battery voltage at rest
'At Rest' voltage measurement is only accurate if care is taken to ensure all control modules have fully shut down and entered sleep mode - this can take longer than 10 to 20 mins after all doors are closed and vehicle is locked.

Battery Change 202 Kamiq SEl
Hello, welcome to the forum. I'd recommend getting the battery tested first - and check the alternator charging rate. You shouldn't need to disconnect the battery to find its details, they should be on a label on the top (likely near the positive terminal) - but disconnection will not cause any issues provided you always ensure that the negative terminal is disconnected first - this is to prevent any risk of short-circuiting live positive terminal to vehicle chassis. The battery type (AGM or EFB) and capacity is the only important data - the existing serial number can simply be input by changing the last digit if the battery does need to be replaced.

Battery draining overnight - Fan coming on
I have seen references to the cooling fan running when A/C is running, so there could be some connection - that would run the battery down very quickly. Otherwise I'd be looking at a faulty cooling fan relay as being the cause. Was the fan running when you shut the vehicle down? Is this a TDI?
